  1. Great shave Clint. At least the thought was there before your Mother informed you she already had plans .
  2. Thank you Patrick. I am glad she is still able to be able to go out with friends.
  3. I will show it off sometime. Came as a surprise.its wicked looking.
  4. Thank you Fellow Crewers! I'm amongst a pile of steaming greatness here in The 30 Day Thread. ;)

You, Sir, are an inspiration. Unfortunately I'm already corrupted with Flibberdigibbet-itis. I saw that Ring-o-death at the bottom of your tub of Green soap. If you power on through the White soap in the same fashion lather will not be a variable the same way your razor handling technique is improving.

Don't forget about Palmolive Stick. It's good soap. I think it's softening and conditioning my boar brushes, too.
  5. I'll bet it is!
  6. I hear you there . My mom's in her 80s and used to be quite mobile until my Dad passed. That really took a toll on her and sadly she doesn't get out of the house much now.
I kinda chuckled when you said she had plans with her friends . I hope when I get up in years my body keeps up with my mind or vice versa.
  7. Thank you, Clint!
  8. Very good idea. You should be able to pick them up really cheap around playoff time. :)
  9. I think a little different, maybe. You’ve already successfully completed your Rule, I think it is perfectly fine to start buying stuff!
  10. Well my idea was a blue handle with a golf ball attached and drilled for the knot to sit in .That way I could still feel good about using it in the summer too.
  11. Don't bother with the golf ball. I've cut a few open (and my fingers have the scars from some german lackofthinking), and they're a hard core, wrapped with LOTS of rubber bands, then the plastic shell. there's no solid stuff to drill. You _might_ be able to crack one open enough to scrape out all the old rubber, then fill with epoxy, but that'd be the only way. I wanted to warn you so you didn't end up with trying to remove the tip of a finger like I did, for no benefit.
  12. Great looking gear today, Jim. Hope you only have to be at work for a few hours on a Saturday.
No idea what you are talking about, Perry. Your pics are neither boring nor repetitive. Great use of colour today as well.
That Rocnel is a serious looking shaver. I guess I haven’t looked at it that closely before when Keith has posted pics of it.
Even though I am sure you were looking forward to seeing your mom, it is also nice to have the ‘gift of time’ on occasion as well.
  13. Thank you, Jason!
  14. There are some that are solid core. Distance balls like Pinnacle often are. They will sometimes have diagrams on the back of the box showing how they are constructed.
Hold the ball in a Jorgensen clamp or something similar and use a drill press. If you don’t have one, then yes, get the band-aids ready.
  15. Oh I was never going to make one of these , that was my attempt at sarcasm. This is the year for the Leafs, I will need a Stanley Cup themed brush made in their honor. But I hear ya on the cutting them open . I made a shifting knob for the lawn tractor from a golf ball once ..
  16. My mom will be 80 this summer. My Dad passed 11 years ago and I felt certain Mom would decided to move in with us. But she surprised me and continues to live in the family home. I am really proud that she continues to get out and stay involved with friends and hobbies.
  17. I admit the looks were intimating but the razor is not nearly as aggressive as the Ikon Tech but it does have a lot of blade feel. I think the Rocnel will be an exceptionally efficient razor once I get it dialed in.
  18. God bless her . Independence is everything in the golden years .
  19. Terrific picture, Clint! I have to admit, the Rocnel looks a bit different than I imagined. I am looking forward to seeing how you like it as you get more familiar with it.
