Had I started on SE at the beginning, I'd probably do them more. But, count me as a fan. Schick G normally in effect as primary safety option. I'm just hooked in the shavette experience right now!
No name shavette ,wood handle.3 use good sense blades IIRC. Dove shave cream no-name boar brush hot soaked in a brass bowl 2 passes w/a touch up cool water rinse Lustray Blue Spice a/s The Dove face+body cream does not seem to be a good match w/a shavette. Not enough glide.IMO The Lustray Blue Spice is an a/s that does not get much recognition. It starts out as a light spice like a half strength Lucky Tiger Aspen and morphs in a baby powder scent with a hint of spice.Inoffensive and rather good.
I had a Marvy's brush once.It shed more than a yellow lab with the mange. After a while the entire center of the brush fell out ,about the diameter of a pencil. It got s-canned.The soap I recall was not very good.

My first use today went well.... I nearly finished an extraordinary face shave without drawing any blood. But I ended with a nick on my neck which took a couple of applications of the styptic pencil before the bleeding stopped.
