In April, I’m going to be living on a remote, deserted island. A small hut, with a nice sink and mirror are provided, but very little countertop/storage. I have to narrow my gear down to the bare essentials. I may only pick one soap to, and my choices allowed are as follows:
Arko, Mitchell’s Wool Fat, Tabac, and Williams
I have the month of March to narrow it down, and decide on which one is making the cut.
I have already decided on my razor, which will be a ’64 Gillette Slim. As for blades, I’m going to go with Astra S/P.
Ok, so…I’m not really going to be moving anywhere in April (that I’m aware of!). But, I am going to face off four classic soaps, for a week each. I enjoy each one of these, but I seldom ever use one of them for multiple days in a row, nor do they often get used back to back. I just want to see which of these offerings would make top spot, if I could chose only one. Like that’s gonna happen!

@NCoxSTL did basically the same thing for the month of February, which gave me the idea to do something similar. I normally bounce around like a kid who ate a whole pack of candy, with a 6-pack soda as a chaser. This will be, by far, the closest I’ve ever come to a rule or focus (even though I know it’s a smart thing to do). It’s my plan…we’ll see how well I can stick to it!
I’ll begin Sunday, so each soap gets one week. Plus, that’s when I normally switch to a fresh blade. As for a brush….ummmm, yeah. I’m gonna use brushes….
