Shave gear takes up less space than snowmobiles or jet skis. The issue may be invading an area formally considered "hers". I don't have a current SWMBO so I don't have the problem of taking ground in the battle of bathroom counter space. I've seen several guys take over a second bathroom. Adam @Drygulch is building one! The easy route that many have successfully found is to convert her to wet shaving. And Tapatalk is a great mobile platform! Tapatalk Via Kyocera
Start ordering straight razors. Hone them at your desk while on conference calls. The problem will work itself out.
Thanks for the update, Andrew. I will continue to keep him (and your family as you support him through this) in my prayers.
Cute picture of a cute kid riding an unusual stuffed toy... Reminds me of the old spelling rhyme: A One-L lama is a kind of priest. A Two-L llama is a kind of beast. And a Three-L lama is a very large fire...
Actually, 15 soaps isn’t bad. The biggest collection of soaps I know of is one guy on Badger + Blade who has 300+ soaps and creams, plus all the matching aftershaves, plus an equal number of colognes. Just about any fragrance ever made for men and he has it... You by contrast just have a small but prudent stash...
Great photo, Clint! Several weepers? Glad to see the '66' back in action. Would ranking your Injectors be harder than ranking your GEMs, Perry? Love the pic, and the Machiavellian plan for a new bowl, Adam! Found pucks you forgot about, Brian? Sounds like a discussion Jim and I had yesterday about razors... Yup. TGIF indeed. Show your wife the Shavemac or Simpson's website. Then direct her to the Wolfman or Timeless or Above the Tie website. Then show her pics of some brush and/or razor collections of some folks around. Show her what a bastion of restraint you, in fact, are. I'm not saying this will work necessarily, but could be humorous to follow along with. Your diamond wedding band plan has a much better chance of success...
I do this with email. Outlook automatically asks you what size you want to send it as. The 'large' format always seems to be accepted by TSD.
Thank you Jason. While the results of the shave were good, the weepers on my lower right neck were the worst I can recall.
Some great pictures and shaves, gentlemen. I am a bit behind today and just getting a chance to check in. I hope everyone has had a great day.
Actually got a good shave tonight. 90% success rate I'd say. Got the chin nice and smooth but it's that jawline under the chin I have trouble with. Same thing when I started DE. The Luxor is becoming more of a friend and the grips and angles are improving. Soap didn't dry out tonight either so I must be doing something right. The WH didn't sting as bad as last night. One thing I figured out is more skin stretching is needed compared to DE. Overall I'm satisfied. Great shaves everyone!
March 2 SOTD: Razor: Classic Samurai Blade: Derby Premium Brush: Frank Shaving Pur-Tech Lather: TSD Pumpkin Spice Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender Additional Care: Stirling Unscented PSB A late post for this shave. I actually went into work late this morning as I had to take my wife's car into the shop for some work before she heads out on a trip tomorrow (I probably should have just done the work myself, but that is a different story). You would think with more time in the morning, I would have more time for this stuff, but as is often the case, when my routine gets off so do I. The shave was pretty simple: one pass and CCS. I finished with some Unconditional Surrender, which got a pretty glowing review from Mrs. Norcal. All in all, it was a good way to start a Friday that ended up being fairly uneventful.
