In MN we are not really known for food. We fry the Hell out of fish, and if you want a roasted meat, mashed potato and gravy meal, out grammas will cook with anybodies, but we lean towards the bland and tasteless. But one thing we kick royal ass at, is burgers. Every corner bar has a Man vs. Food type thing going on. This one wasn’t that hard to finish, but boy was it good:

Three 1/3 pound burgers, nine strips of bacon, six slices of cheese, with fry bread for a bun. Shoulda had onions, but otherwise it was a first class burger.

It has been such a screwed up busy week, today was my first shave since last Sunday. Nothing beats a big ole wedge for peeling off a lot of hair. What a great shave. Didn’t quote get my hands on the baby, but almost.

Pre-shave: hot shower and Nivea Men Sensitive Face Wash
Cream: Barbasol Soothing Aloe shaving cream
    Razor: CJB pain stick
    Blade: Feather Professional (2)
Post-shave: Assured WH (Family Tree brand), Nivea Men Sensitive PS Balm, Barbasol Brisk AS

2nd face shave this month with the CJB stick. I went slow and deliberately, and did two passes. Overall, a very nice shave. Not BBS, but I wasn't striving for that. I drew blood the 1st time I used this razor the other day. I can't say this one was blood-free, however. I got just the slightest nick on the left cheek, and a tiny bit of blood oozed. But I didn't have to treat it with anything.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

2 pass shave with the CJB and Feather Pros without gouging yourself? On the 2nd day? Very impressive Dan!

Very good advice, perhaps in few months I may do a focus with my clone. Still can't believe how cheap I got it direct from China. I'm attempting to learn how to ride the cap, after this rule hopefully I will have it figured out.

That it was Clint. One I'd do again any time.

Have you visited the Ride the Cap thread? Easiest way I can shorten it is this; with a safety razor there's the blade and the piece of razor that touches your face. Don't use the guard part of the base plate. Use the blade and the cap. It keeps the blade laying flatter to your skin in an angle much like a straight razor or shavette. If the blade is in that angle of attack it cuts hair more efficiently. It's about beard reduction or shortening the hairs with each pass, rather than scraping the skin and hoping to take beard with it.

I don’t know if you remember, but there was a kid who showed up on TSN a few years ago, Tom Zmuda, or Manhandled Woodshop. He was turning handles and pens in his dad’s woodshop to help make money while he was in school. Really nice kid. I bought a few handles from him, and still have a couple of them.

The burger was really good. They have another one with maple carmelized onions, cream cheese and waffles for a bun. Next time.

I read that James modeled the Wolfman WR1 after a vintage Gillette. I believe it may be the NEW. Is there a model with a thin cap and one with a thicker cap?
