  1. Wow! That’s a bummer. I wish you well in your move. Sounds like a fun packing idea.
  2. Yep, I’m still unpacking.

  3. Wow, I’ve never been a VP of anything. I’ve already hired my secretary. [IMG]
  4. Keep going. You're doing great!
  5. Aren't all pictures supposed to have a razor in them? I don't see a razor.
  6. That is funny. I saw a roof top cargo carrier in the ditch just the other day.
  7. Get her some hair dye..... Just saying.
  8. Let me guess??? Red hair dye ?
  9. That wasn’t difficult
  10. Good video, Fuzzy! Looks like you achieved outstanding lather today.

  12. Yup.

I am not a difficult person.
Indeed. That little brush does a good job.
  13. 3rd shave of the rule done and dusted.

    Slim Adjustable 4
    Rapira Swedish Supersteel
    Yaqi Slivertip
    Proraso Red Preshave
    Tabac
    Thayer's Witchhazel
    Speick AS splash
    L&W Sandalwood post shave balm

The best shave of the rule, added more water and loaded less Tabac creating a pretty good lather. Tried to hold the handle further down, helped to maintain a better shaving angle. A little weeper on my upper lip, very little post irritation, probably wouldn't be any, if I didn't over do it in one spot. All in all really making some improvements.

  14. Saturday night March 3 - Shavette day 2

    IMG_00000176.jpg

    Parker SRX / GSB (2)
30DC LE Maple Cashmere synthetic brush
    My Italian almond frankensoap
    Alum and Lucky Tiger
Cleanup razor: Supply Co. V.2 SE injector on two-dot plate / Personna (several)

Today's shave with the shavette went better than yesterday's. One pass to a CCS with no blood of any kind and quiet alum. I then put down the shavette, relathered with the wonderful 30DC LE brush and my excellent Italian frankensoap, and did a cleanup pass with the Supply Co. injector to bring me to a DFS. I thoroughly enjoyed that part of the shave. The Lucky Tiger capped an enjoyable end of the shave.

    I have concluded three things: 1. I can shave with a shavette if I absolutely have to and achieve a decent result;
    2. I don't actually have to shave with the shavette if I don't want to; and
    3. The Dark Side doesn't have enough cookies to make it worth my while to switch over to it.

I think the shavette is going to go back in the cupboard (next to my as-yet never-used -- and in all likelihood never will be -- straight razor) and I will go back to spending this month shaving with sensible razors that I actually enjoy using. Maybe I will spend the month working my way through my accumulated soap samples instead.
  15. Great to hear! Keep up the good work!
  16. We also wanted 2006 Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain, and a brewery to be named later.

  17. Not sure if anyone else chimed in or not. Both my NEWs have similar caps. The only Gillette 3 piece that I know for a fact have a thin and a thick top cap are Old Types. That Wolfman of yours doesn’t seem to resemble either of my Old Types. Many, many others are more knowledgeable than me on Old Gillettes, however.
  18. Trying, succeeding, and not liking?

    Works for me.

    Have a cookie.
  19. Angle and pressure! Nice day!
  20. @wchnu - me buying a bed in Denver from Neal in STL wasn't a joke. Took five minutes on the phone. Couple Russian "interns" delivered 72 hours later. Since I needed a mattress set? Could have been any of the 59 stores in CO. But it wasn't. ;)
