Couldn't resist using the Fatip a few days before boxing it up. And if you're going to use an aggressive razor you just need to man up and load a Feather in it. Add Oleo Soapworks El Caballero with the Wolf Whiskers Silvertip and you have a marvelous shave.

Alum was a bit warm from the aggressive combo but the baby is asleep and all is well. Good and productive day today as we nailed down a new place. Going to check out two more tomorrow just to finish the hunt before putting the money on the barrel head. Enjoy your Friday tomorrow!

Beaudelaire never disappoints me. Both scent and performance are top notch. Fern pomade has a complimentary scent and enough hold to keep my hair together and looking natural. I like Personna Platinum in the Vision better than Voskhod.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem Damaskeene Razor using a Personna Gem CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I felt a bit nauseous before I started washing my face and I was thinking of calling off this shave but finally the nausea passed and I got into it. The Chapmunk soap (not chipmunk!) from River Valley Trading in South Africa gave me tons of fantastic spearmint-scented lather which felt so comfortable, moisturizing, and soothing both during and after my shave. My Goodfella/Shark combination got rid of the rough stubble in three easy passes with a bit of touch-up. This Bull Dog moisturizer, from the UK works very well as a balm - its scent is mild and pleasant. The Shambala aftershave smells beautiful and it has a good amount of menthol in it. Another great BBS shave to record in the books!

Van Yulay Spiced Mahogany today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette “Spoiler” SS still in the Black Beauty. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with YSL M7 Oud Absolu EdT.
