6/8 Double Duck TOBS Sandalwood Soap Mondial boar Nice shave this morning. First use of the Mondial boar it's listed as 25mm x 60mm loft. I did an overnight soak in the fridge. The brush performed fine in the lather making dept. I found this brush very soft and lacking in backbone. I'm pretty fussy about my boar brushes so this one won't make the cut. That's o.k., I was kinda expecting it with the dimensions listed. So I'll either use it as it is for a couple of shaves or I'll have the knot out of it within ten minutes of you reading this. I'd bet on the latter. Please understand, I'm not bad mouthing the brush. The next person might love it but it doesn't do it for me.
Brought out one the best for a new soap sample. Really good Saturday shave with one of my favorite razors.
Today's shave was with an American Made razor. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, with near BBS results, without touch-ups. Incredibly smooth edge. The Arkansas Surgical Black stone, works wonders with this razor. Razor- "Perfection" Warranted, By Swank H.W. Co. Brush- JR#262. Birdseye Maple/Ebony. Soap- Stirling Barbershop Aftershave- Avon Spicy. Viking Horn Decanter.

It sound like the kind of knot I enjoy, I do not like a lot of backbone. You can always toss the knot in an envelope and give it a new home
Herder 77 6/8 This is my second shave with this freshly restored blade .First shave was very good but I thought I could bring out a bit more keenness to the edge .So I gave the blade a 100 laps on the Translucent Arkansas .The Arkie did the trick .Had a spectacular shave .
