  10. Yeah, once I committed to the rule, got some great advice on technique, and just started experimenting, to see what work and where.

  11. I was never in it before, but I remember as a boy staring in awe at my Grandfather's Super Speed. So when a coworker mentioned an article DE shaving he read, my curiosity was peeked, fast forward a few months and here I am.

  12. Sound like a dud to me, Neal.
    Safe travels, Chris!
Congrats Scott, In another 15 or so days you will be amazed at how much better your shaves are then they are now. You've gone from bad to good, your next step will be from good to great!
Id be interested in reading a rundown of the various sandalwood products you have tried, John.
Very nice, Jim! Was the San Antonio was SE release ?
Awesome shot, Perry! It didnt take you long to put the G5 into play! Have fun at Disney World!! Is your wife and son going as well ?
Fantastic photo, Clint! Top shelf today!
Well Dale, here's to tomorrow :eatdrink047:!
  13. Greetings from Wisconsin.
This $&@# razor gave me a couple of weepers this morning. I need to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Sigh.

  14. The Rockwell 6s seems like an almost idiot prof razor to me. On plate #3 where I use it, it gives me an efficiently clean shave but I have never nicked myself, and don't think I could without some deliberate effort. If I could only have one razor to use in future, I would have no problem making the Rockwell 6s work as that sole razor. (Not that I would be happy if someone took away my Delta Echoed Gillette adjustables, my Supply Co injector, my Fatip, my Gillette Old Types, my Schick and Pal injectors, my Gem SEs, etc. etc....)
  15. Thank you, Andrew! The San Antonio is older soap, one I've had for a few years, and I suspect Rod doesn't offer it any more. He described the scent as reminiscent of tamarind candy, and I would say that is close. It is odd in that the lather actually has a bit of a rust color to it. The soap is a dark reddish brown color, and this actually carries over to the lather.

  19. I'm excited! It's work for me because of all the kids going, but I'm really ready to see how my little boy reacts to it all. We've been prepping him for quite a while.

Day 11 with the NEW, 1st with an Astra. Very nice 3 pass shave earlier this morning. Haven’t commented much on the Alum, but have kept going with it as a focus. I can only handle it followed by witch hazel, however, or the face-feel drives me bonkers. Finishing with CL is always a good thing.
    Have a great day all!
