March 11 Parker SRX shavette Astra SP (2) Simpson Chubby 2 Super MdC Alum, Thayers, Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Terre d’Hermès Parfum This is my fourth daily shave in a row with the shavette. I performed one WTG pass and a few touch ups for a close, comfortable shave. I spend about as much time touching up around my mouth and chin as I do on my cheeks and neck. I plan to try this for the next few days to see how my skin reacts. After a few shaves with the MdC, I prefer it by a small margin over the CF Lavender shaving cream for use with my shavette. While both are protective, the MdC seems to produce a slicker lather for me.

I picked up the CJB today and had an outstanding shave!
Hmmmm.... come to think of it. I had one very similar to that, except it was dark gray. I also had a denim three piece. That was a stud-outfit (in the 70s).
May I ask how many passes are you making with the CJB? Do you make a XTG pass, and if so, nose to ear, or ear to nose?. The XTG pass is what has put me off a fixed handle razor, so I would be very interested to know how you are finding it.
