I've only shaved using the >70 year old proprietary blade but I look forward to many more shaves with her.

It also made me contemplate the modern concept that for a razor to be durable it must be made from steel, titanium or a remnant from a spaceship crash in area 51. An aluminium razor from the 1950s seems to pooh-pooh this sales pitch. Anyway I digress, this was a very enjoyable shave which left me as smooth as the flight path of Alan Shepard's golf ball. It dispels the myth that OCs are inherently aggressive and if anyone is looking for a road into OCs I'd highly recommend it. Happy Shaving one and all.
just bought these two razors. Mhule R41 and Mercur 41C. i usual use straights but when you are in a hurry a DB is a better chose. tested the R41 this morning,and had a very close and comfortable shave. testing 41C tomorrow. going to put the 41C head on my Mercur travel razor.
