  1. OMG! Don't tell me it's true. PAL Supers are going away? I have to run out and buy all I can now then. I love the PAL Super's.

    Thursday's Shave
    [IMG]

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #268
    Gem Flying Wing
    Pal CS
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva Musk

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #268 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Flying Wing Razor using a Pal CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

" Igor" by Tom White- mid setting
    Gem PTFE [ 1 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

Today , I am lucky enough to be trying out a hand crafted Aluminium SE / Gem , adjustable. This has been made by Tom White who is known by a few of you, he is not only an aficionado of SE Razors but he is also very skilled and creative.

I chose to use it on a mid setting, and instinctively got the right angle. From the off it blitzed my quite tough growth growth and I resisted the temptation the speed things along, I believe other guys who have tried it fell into that Trap and suffered a bit

The finish of the completed Shave was superb, and I can truthfully say outperforms those of the modern SE/Gems I have tried. Though I pushed a bit on my cheeks, I suffered no post shave problems so can use it again tomorrow.

  4. Oh I dont know for sure at all - but the source that had the 3 packs of 10 blade vaults is not selling it on amazon no more and when i do searchs online all i find is the 5 blade pack for like 12 dollars which is outrageous - problem is i cant find any sellers out there with good prices? That is why i think maybe there discontinued? Maybe we can email the personna virginia office?
but i do have like 80 or 90 blades squirreld away - and i am talking bout the Personna Super made for shaving with 009 on spine - not the other ones with PAL on spine for lab dissections - those are out there but I dont use em...

see - not sure if will ever be available according to amazon

  5. One of my local stores carries them. The five blade pack that comes in the cardboard box. I will have to go by and pick up all they have. I will also ask if the can get more. Thanks for the heads up.

  10. I’ve been under the weather and nearly four days of whiskers snuck up on me. Finally felt good enough to take them down so I broke out the Nordic Queen, my favorite wedge type razor. Outfitted with a blade sporting a special “magic” hone finish by @Billyfergie it left me silky smooth and feeling a little more human again. :happy036:

  11. Razor: Schick G1
    Blade: Ted Pella
Soap: Williams (missed Wednesday due to sickness. )
    Brush: Omega 20106
Aftershave: Alum followed by Witch hazel then Nivea sensitive

Pretty good three pass shave today despite still not feeling too good. WTG, XTG, XTG. I'm finding I prefer the Repeater due to the weight of it being a better option for me than the Schick G1 but still awesome shave! :)

    Omega 11126 boar
    Cyril Salter Solid Soap
    " Igor" Alu, SE/Gem Adjustable
    Gem coated [ 2 ]
    Alum Rub/Rinse off
    Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

Too clever by half today tried to use different settings of the Razor during the Shave. Easy enough to do, but I found the aggressive setting to fierce and the mild a bit ineffectual. Moral of the Story stick to what worked the first time. Will stick to a medium setting in future, as the Shave yesterday left me with minimal regrowth for todays Shave.

  13. Day 5 of using my newly acquired Gem featherweight.

I’m finding my way with this razor and now can get nice shaves out of it. I need to use a different technique with the featherweight compared to my other SEs. I hold the head of this razor virtually flat to my face. That seems to eliminate the chatter and provides a smooth and comfortable shave.

The featherweight has now found a place in the rotation!

  17. Hi guys,
I picked up an injector razor at an antique store today. It's a pal injector.
    Two questions;
    1) will a Schick loading tool work with a pal injector?
    2) it has adjustments from low to hi, what do these mean?
Thanks for your help in advance.

  18. OK - my DE run was nice - now back to me true love - THE SE and INJECTOR!
    - last night jumped back in with a Damaskeene and a new TREET blade - zero nicks - zero irritation.

Used Jayaruh TOST LE 2018 brush for 1st time and its a beauty..

    peace - Jamie

  19. Cool! A PAL adjustable!

Schick blades work just fine. They’re perfect fits. Low reduces blade exposure and high increases the blade exposure. You cannot use twin injector blades in the PAL. That’s okay because that razor works just fine with the ordinary injector blades.

Be sure to post a picture.
