Thanks Clint. That's one GEM I didn't have, and I have found nothing in a while locally. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Sorry, Paul, I can't help you with the weather. Maybe you could give the red head next door a call to help with the driveway. Thanks Andrew! I'm excited for Maya. This is a fun time in her life, and I bet she and her Mom will have a fun weekend together. I don't need to tell you to behave yourself. I'm sure your Mom has that covered! Thanks Jim. That's some of my favorite music going back to my High School days.
There's been some discussion this month about how to build a good lather. Matt @KillerQ posted a great video in the Welcome Center. It is definitely worth a look to see the mountain of lather you can build in about three minutes.
Glad the climate suits you. My mom and dad vacationed there twicce, and loved it. My dad talks a lot about moving there for good.
Interesting you say that Charlie, because a lady resident here DID help me, after I told her what I was dealing with. Dark hair though-she's from India, speaks excellent English. Thus you got the gender right, hair color wrong, but you know what I say, 1 out of 2 ain't bad .
A few thoughts: As a guy who probably has at least a thousand Stirling shaves under his belt, and being a nerd with a scale, I’m guessing that was 5-7 grams of soap. I normally use 1.5 - 2 with a 24-26mm brush, and 4- 7with the big boys like Chubbies or my BK12. It just affirms the adage: I added more product, and it worked! And be nice to your brushes. They never did anything to hurt you.
That video knocked me off the fence. I don't know how many times I have loaded my cart at the Stirling website only to let indecision take over about the scents I picked. I'll get a handful of sample pucks. I would ask for recommendations but then I would end up with all of them! Happy shaves to all. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
I am hopelessly lost with the thread for the month. Work has been as crazy as I have been through in years. I did have a crew working a couple of hours from my house, so I went home Monday. -General -Yaqi 30mm Barberpole -Lavanille -Stirling Almond A.S. First use with the battleship class Tuxedo. May I say that it is somewhat close to my BK-12 in face feel? Okay, aside from being soulless...... The softness is comparable, it is just that I have never found a splay, and maybe a “fibrous-y” type scrub to any synthetic that matches real badger hair. All in all a nice brush. For $20, it is a fantastic brush. Skipped a few days, I’ve honestly been so busy, there is no way I am shaving when I get done. I have a kind of important meeting tomorrow, and I landed early tonight, so: -General in Black -WCS Synthetic -Stirling Autumn Glory -Stirling Gentleman A.S. Ultra fast setup, almost too beat up tonight to take a pic. I have come to the decision that The General is probably the best safety razor ever made. You almost cannot screw up the angle. With the domed cap, too shallow, and you are “finish troweling” your lather. Too steep, and the somewhat, almost blocky baseplate impedes cutting. So in some ways, you could call it a mild razor, but it gives me the same comfortable BBS shave, every time I go for it.
I knew this would happen! I'm going to get suggestions and not a one will match what I just ordered. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
You can’t screw it up. Just my two cents. Plus some are seasonal, so do t sweat it, you have ample time.
