I am hopelessly lost with the thread for the month. Work has been as crazy as I have been through in years. I did have a crew working a couple of hours from my house, so I went home Monday.
-General
-Yaqi 30mm Barberpole
-Lavanille
-Stirling Almond A.S.
First use with the battleship class Tuxedo. May I say that it is somewhat close to my BK-12 in face feel? Okay, aside from being soulless...... The softness is comparable, it is just that I have never found a splay, and maybe a “fibrous-y” type scrub to any synthetic that matches real badger hair. All in all a nice brush. For $20, it is a fantastic brush.
Skipped a few days, I’ve honestly been so busy, there is no way I am shaving when I get done. I have a kind of important meeting tomorrow, and I landed early tonight, so:
-General in Black
-WCS Synthetic
-Stirling Autumn Glory
-Stirling Gentleman A.S.
Ultra fast setup, almost too beat up tonight to take a pic. I have come to the decision that The General is probably the best safety razor ever made. You almost cannot screw up the angle. With the domed cap, too shallow, and you are “finish troweling” your lather. Too steep, and the somewhat, almost blocky baseplate impedes cutting. So in some ways, you could call it a mild razor, but it gives me the same comfortable BBS shave, every time I go for it.
