    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Vegetal

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Musgo Real Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #266 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher Razor using a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  2. Whoa!! What a find!

Is that original packaging the razor is in still? Where'd you manage to score that one?

  3. Regrettably it is not mine. Found by a chap on SE Forum who got it on the Bay, listed under Antiques. Came with cardboard Outer box/ Metal case and instructions. Not sure why the Razor was in a Plastic bag.

    Pitralon Classic A/S lotion

I am coming to the end of my loan of "Igor", and having lauded its performance up, decided to put it up against a Vintage SE. My obvious choice was an ER " Streamline" which is one of my favourites.

I used the Streamline on my difficult RHS of face, and it is silent compared with "Igor" though more aggressive, and not rewarding of inattention . I did have a good Shaven on that side without mishap.

As "Igor" is much lighter and more forgiving than the "Streamline", I find it quite manoeuvrable so the Shave on the remainder of the face was completed quite easily and comfortably. In terms of finished Shave quality both Razors provided a good close finish, though perhaps the ER cleared around the nostrils much better. I think "Igor " being less aggressive would suit the majority of SE users, whereas some find the "Streamline" a bit harsh.

  11. I can't except some cats calling that a ladies razor.....My uncle used one of those back when they first came out! And in my whole life, til recently, I never heard them referred to like that. I think Eversharp placed maybe one ad like that to try and pick up some sales or broad-en their base...(pun intended :lam:)
I've always thought the G5 was a stand out razor in the looks department...Very Very Nice, and a Great Shaver too! A very desirable piece of kit! I hope you get many steller shaves with yours...Great pic, BTW!

    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

Never expected a blade to last this long, yes I know others get a long usage , but still dealing well with my tough beard.
A DFS too and feels like more to come. Must do an Inventory of them, though obviously they are appreciated in Japan as they are still in production though fairly pricey.
