  1. Have to agree. 9 is a good number.

  2. With all the Aqua Velva I see being used on here (myself included) I may have to use it for my April focus . AV April has a nice ring to it .

  3. With Arko being the soap of choice for April, the use of traditional, drug store type after shaves is a natural fit. Arko AV April has a nice ring to it. Or use a Fatboy or Slim or something like it and have Adjustable Arko AV April.......Already.

  4. Wait until August. My head is about to explode.

  5. I don't have an adjustable or any arko but I will make a point to track some down .

  6. Already anticipating and agonizing about Arko, adjustables, after shaves and all April and August afford all!

  7. Ask anybody, Andy, Allen, and Arlene agree, Aqua,Arko, alum and adjustables at April and August are alright!

  8. I think I'm going to skip the alum for a while and see how it goes. The problem is I still get a fair amount of weepers under my chin and presumably the alum helps them clot.

    Suribachi bowl and cool water
Fatip Piccolo, Polsilver SI of unknown # uses
Osage Rub, Fine Snake Bite AS
SOTD 03262018 Peppermint Osage Snakebite.gif A small number of TSD members tested an experimental shave cream from the labs of Chris @americanshamrock. Mentholated to lip numbing strength and scented to the point of flavored like a York - BRrrr! Until told otherwise the Non Disclosure Agreement is still in effect so I won't divulge the secret ingredient (It's tallow - no Vegans need apply). Superior lathering, top notch in all slip slide and glide properties, and amazing post shave feel. And it smells like a refrigerated peppermint patty covered in dark chocolate. If he chooses not to proceed with further production I'm going to ask for the ingredients list. In my process of clearing all DEs of used blades I took the Fatip OC for a spin. The Super Iridium was plenty sharp and smooth and gave it's all for this shave. Might have gotten more service but I'm on a Mission to not leave blades in razors. Three passes and squeezed the badger knot for the remaining lather to touch up my corners. A high DFS result for taking my time and enjoying the creamy goodness. A carefully applied dose of Osage Rub, and to top it off a couple spritzes of Fine Snake Bite AS. I'm developing a liking for cool software.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

  12. I’ve got it covered ;). It must be the rotund one, they couldn’t find a body double. I wonder if he brought his pleasure squad along for the trip. I’ll see if I can get them for the foam party. He owes me a favor after I sent him the triple bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon.

  13. Just my opinion - and that's not even worth enough to buy you a cup of mid-grade coffee :D - I'd leave it as is. The red still looks very good, but still shows signs of use and history, and you don't run the risk of messing up and regretting it. I've seen plenty of them on the bay, where the red is all but gone...those I'd probably attempt a makeover.

Another excellent shave this morning. I went back to a traditional 3 pass shave followed by touch ups which ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of the matching Fine Italian Citrus aftershave and I am ready for more tax returns today. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
