I know... my focus this month has been on the CJB pain stick and I didn't use it today. After a less than stellar stubble cutting issue on Monday I had planned to use a fresh blade. But today is the day one of our dogs had an appointment with the Vet's for a teeth cleaning procedure and I had the displeasure to take her there early this morning. Normally, this dog (Blanca) is fearless. She has a Type A personality and has to be reminded who's the boss from time to time. However, there are two things in life which she fears, dreads, dislikes or whatever: 1) A bath... she'll whimper and cry as if she's being murdered like Janet Leigh's character in the classic movie, Psycho; and, 2) The Vet's clinic. When I took her in last month for routine shots and a check-up this 75 pound "fearless" canine tried to crawl under the seat I was on in the exam room. This morning I had to help them escort her to the pre-op room where they could prep her.... she gave me a pitiful, "Dad, they want to do terrible things to me!" look. She was quivering and stared at me, with such sad eyes, as I finally left her with the staff, pleading for me to take her with me. She looked something like this.... but 10x worse:

So, I felt a little bad. Our other lab, was more than happy to be the only dog at home today and welcomed me home with glee. I decided to shower and shave when I got home so I would be available if the Clinic called me sooner than they estimated. I looked at the pain stick. I intended to use it. Then I looked at the cut on my ear from a week ago, which still hasn't completely healed yet. I decided that I had better not use an open blade razor in case I lose focus today and slice through an artery, thus prolonging Blanca's stay at the Clinic because dad bled out.
I just wanted a quick and easy shave today. So I went with the Krona. Inspired by a question Rick
@RyX had the other day on another Thread I dropped in a Feather blade. Now understand, I first used this blade back in January, but I haven't used it for several weeks. I do not know how many shaves it has. I think it has at least a dozen shaves. However, I can tell you it's still sharp and smooth. Quite impressive!
I did two easy passes and easily achieved a CFS.
Happy shaves everyone!
P.S. I spoke with the Vet a little while ago. Blanca's procedure went very well. She's resting and I can pick her up in a couple of hours.
