Good evening gentlemen. You guys are giving great detailed reports and awesome pictures to finish out the month! I feel like I'm running out of things to say and ways to arrange my gear.
I had a good shave this evening. DFS. A light tickle from the alum on my neck. I'm feeling clean and refreshed.
This month has been a great learning experience for me. Shallow angle and no pressure are really becoming second nature.
Only one more shave for me this month, Friday morning, so I decided to take a group picture of my March Madness gear.
Good evening and good shaves all![IMG]

    Shave 12 of 30

Almost half way there for this focus, tonight's shave was so-so. Haven't shaved since Sunday. Fresh blade. It was meant to be an easy one pass shave with some extra work on the chin. Went ok, but then I tried working the chin and just couldn't get the angle down. So I decided to use the E3 for some touching up, and that turned into a 3/4th pass shave all over. Turns out the first pass with the shavette didn't do as well as I would have liked. Oh well. Next shave will probably be Friday.

  6. Sounds like my job.
  7. 75 more to go..... I hack on you, but your progress has been great.
  8. Great looking shave. Wondering if you are shooting for the next camera man of Drunk History, or if you are showing off your countertop.....
  9. Okay, I really hope that came off as a tease.

  10. Thanks John. You’ll have to get some Tabac...then you too can smell like grandma’s purse! :D
  11. Nice write up John!
  12. Great photo and sweet gear, Jason!
  13. I'll revisit the Krona again. More than likely with a Feather onboard. The flat plain of the cap is a little different that most Gillette's curve. Not sure if it sets the angle of attack or limits it to the makers suggestion. Could be a Mini-Focus of a week or ten days.
  14. Glad everything went well for Blanca! Good lookin’ shave as well Dan!
  15. Maybe that's why I do not love my Krona and feel that it's a less pleasant shaver than my Gillettes. Well, that and the fact that it contains entirely too much plastic for my taste...
  16. Thank you very much, Jim!
  17. Out of focus Thursday:

I just could not take any more mocking from Tabac, so decided to go with Fine shaving soap today. It smelled wonderful but it is a notch below in performance compared to Tabac. The Art Razor was looking cool and had a nice edge. Ended with a little weeper and a tingle from the alum. All in all a good shave.

  18. Group photo excellence! It looks like you have all the Barrister Reserve soaps and splashes. From your reports they have been treating you very well. I am looking forward to getting several of them myself - Spice, Fern and Lavender. At least, I will as soon as my NB'18 is over -- or as soon as Jason @jtspartan caves in to temptation and fails his so I can take a dive myself without excessive guilt... :)
  19. Thanks John! The B&M Reserves have treated me well this month. I don't have the fern. If you or Jason @jtspartan get it before I do I would like to hear your take on it. Of the four I have Spice is my favorite. Lavender is very nice as well. You can't go wrong with any of them.

  20. I don’t know what the maker suggests, but I ride the cap with the Krona just as I do with other DEs. Works very well for me.

Thanks, Bruce! Blanca is happy to be home. She had a tough day in her world.

Interesting... I have 2 Kronas. The one pictured in today’s shave is my favorite. It seems milder and more forgiving than the other one which has a silver TTO knob.

Just like anything, people are diverse in their preferences.
