  1. Dan I admire your continued efforts to tame the pain stick. I’m sure you’ll get it figured out after a break.

  2. I will post later but I used it today and it comtinues to mock me. I am beginning to suspect a conspiracy.

I also remove non-contributors from my PIFs. It’s your PIF, don’t your way ....... that sounds familiar.

I did that in the begging too with shavettes and straights, I shelved them for 6 months. Then when I strarted again it sent me down the path of the dark side.
  3. Check the Gillette logo on the bottom of the base plate. If it's centered it's a SC, if it's offset it's a LC

  4. OK, I caught up. Only shaved once this week and no pic.

    I love all you guys.

  5. They got some concrete work done last week, but it rained a bunch this week and they haven't been able to do anything on it. I've been working a lot of hours on my job, and am in DC this week for work. Have had some time to play tourist, and to eat some great food. Haven't had too much time online, but sometimes that's nice. Here's a couple photos.

  6. Thank you, Clint. I sure want to master it. Just a little skittish right now.

That actually helps, Keith. I had begun to think perhaps I was not meant to ever use shavettes and straights. You've encouraged me to try again... in the future. Thanks again in PIFing the CJB! I'll hold on to it and try again.

    It's centered! Thanks, Andrew.
  7. Thanks, Clint. It has been a good one so far. Meeting my team and digging into my new job. And important things like finding an all you can eat Serbian restaurant that serves tappas style dishes. Me and a friend ate 14 plates tonight. I could barely walk when I got up. So worth it.
  8. Great pic! I held VDH Luxury in one hand and VDH Deluxe in the other hand today trying to decide. I went with the Deluxe.... glad you went with the Luxury. Kind of balances out the day!
  9. Great picture, John!
    Wonderful B&W shot!
    Science!

    Excellent picture, Dan!
  10. Progress! Hope the trip is going well.
  11. Its a pretty amazing soap. I thought I had the mix wrong, with not enough soap on my face. The brush is also kind of stiff and smaller than my normal boar monster. I added a little water and lather just exploded. Great soap. Did two passes with no blood and a DFS, and headed in to work. That's the kind of shaves I hope for on business trips.
  12. Very nice, John! I like a mélange (of soaps that is).

  13. Doug, thinking of you. Prayers coming your way, my friend.
  14. Thanks, Gentlemen!
  15. I'm backing off from using the pain stick for awhile, Jim. But if you and others keep using yours occasionally it will inspire me in the future to give it a go once again. Nice picture!

Again, Clint.... a fantastic photo. I'm in the mood to be a smart"aleck" and suggest you need to rake some leaves. ;)
  16. Terrific photo, Mark. Lovely razor.
  17. Thanks....oh man :-(
  18. Does the VDH Deluxe smell like Spieck to you?
  19. Congrats on the epic shave on the eve of your move. All of those blades are a beautiful thing.

TOBS Sandalwood and Shulton Old Spice. Hmmm, gonna have to try that.

You're going to love it, James. Just wait and see!

    I don't see an image.

Terrific shave and pic considering you're on the road, Adam. You're on your new job now?

Thank you, Clint. She's definitely happy to be home, but I think she's a little PO'ed at me for deserting her there for an entire day. She missed out on a couple of walks and running in a nearby, open field. She'll get over it.
