  2. From days gone by, I had a customer who used to order: Kill it. Cut it. Pass over the fire on the way to my plate.

  7. Gem Micromatic
    Gem stainless
    Semogue BC Mistura
    Arko
    Superior 70 Bay rum

Blade is tired and needs to be changed. Otherwise a nice shave. Day 131 or something.
  8. Definitely the Dorco STD-301.

It's an interesting blade in that it seems to be unusually thin. As a result, it really needs a razor which can clamp it tightly.

I used to think it was crap while Fuzzy kept saying it was great. Neal was the first one to notice the thinness and the rest fell into place from there.
  9. How many shaves did you manage to get out of that blade?
  10. Nice tub o' soap you got there!
  11. Very Nice. :happy096:
  12. Thank you Dan.
  13. Great shaves, reports and photos Gentlemen. :eatdrink047:

    AOS Peppermint Cream

A great shave is a wonderful way to start the workday. The AOS Peppermint Cream was easy to lather with great residual slickness. Three passes and touchups ended just short of perfect shave. Not too bad for a Tuesday morning. A splash of Fine Lavender kept the peppermint theme going. I hope you have a great Tuesday.
  16. I normally get between 5 and 7 shaves per blade but rarely count any more. I'm sure this one falls in that range, just not sure of the exact number.
  17. Wonderful picture, Clint!

    April 3 SOTD:

    Razor: Gem MMOC
    Blade: Gem Stainless
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: Stirling San Antonio
    Aftershave: M&L Florida Water
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

I kept myself to one pass this morning as I was feeling a little lazy again. I ended with a CCS with no irritation. It was actually a pretty nice shave, and the Florida Water just put the perfect cap on it. I hope everyone has a great day!

  19. That seems like pretty good going compared to the 3-4 I get from my Astra SP DE blades. Is your beard pretty coarse? Or do you get roughly the same out of DE blades?
  20. I sometimes find that 1 pass is nice... Just because there'll be no irritation/burn etc. It sounds like a good plan if you are not so hot on the MMOC just yet!
