  3. Although I had a great shave with this new Midnight Lime soap from RVT I was crying like a baby. We're going to see my Dad and it looks like he's not going to be around for much longer. He has a bad infection which is not really responding to antibiotics. We don't for sure but it doesn't look good.
  4. Sorry to hear about your Dad Jeff. Let's pray for peace for him, and you.

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Tabac
    Jayaruh #277
    Schick Repeating Razor
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Lucky Tiger

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes with the Schick Repeating Razor using a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  7. Very sorry to hear about your Dad. I will keep you and your Dad in my prayers.

  10. Today's shave
Hot water wash with a washcloth
Rubberset 400/ whipped dog high mountain silvertip
    Proraso Blue (bombed)
BW Middlebrooks 5/8 full hollow round end
    Iced Nivia aftershave balm
Today's shave with a thank you to @rmcintyre84 . The 400 made excellent lather from the bombed proraso. Three passes with the Middlebrooks (a gift from @rmcintyre84 ). The newly honed (1000,4000,8000,apache strata) made a good shave. The skiny'ish 5/8 was very maneuverable. I finished with iced Nivia balm. Smooth and comfy.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20180403_090351_resized.jpg

    I was wrong.
The last time I tried Roam it was from the first run years ago. I'm embarrassed to admit that I traded it after only using it once. Since then, I've wondered if I was too hasty, and today I found out I did dismiss this scent too soon. When the tub came, the first whiff seemed harsh, almost acrid. I put it away to warm up from the cold and when I opened it this morning, the scent was different - leather, earth, and smoke, no acridity this time. I built the lather on my face and really warmed up to it - it didn't seem harsh at all, just manly, outdoorsy and not overpowering. I paired it with Chatillon Lux Bon Vivant, and it proved to be a good one. I won't be so hasty now.
