Received my Razor sample pack. Now to test a bunch of new razors. For consistency purposes I will run 3 shaves each. I guess I should create some sort of notepad or spreadsheet to keep track of results.

Now the question is which do I start off with?

Congratulations to both of you on your children's hard earned accomplishments.

While ASU is a good school and Tempe is a nice city.... UofA in Tuscon is worth consideration, Tuscon is much nicer than Phoenix, I have lived in both cities. Of course I am not influenced by the fact I graduated from UofA.

 

Humpday shave

The Tabac refuses to give it up but I think I am getting closer. Uneventful shave and good results. While Tabac smells good and performs great I am getting sick of it. Hopefully, I am within of week of finishing it.

I’m honestly thinking I’m happy without my “Any Vessel, Any Ocean” rating.

 

I know that when I let my Kent “have its wings” after drying, it has a full four inch bloom.

 

I think NK special detail from the Fatboy planted them both.

 

You Sir, are another with a true gift for the photos.

 

I am in the Twin Cities, and we are at the tail end of about 9” right now.

 

For a guy who just bought a hundred year’s worth of the stuff, you seem to be waffling a bit.

 

Soulmates little weird? Cause I can step off a bit, I mean, lots of people tell me I carry it too far.....

 

Nah. Throw a steak in a room with a grill for 30 seconds and soulmates isn't too far.

What razor were you using before? I don’t say this to be argumentative, but most of the guys who know me around here can attest to my (claims) being a heavily bearded dude with a preference for aggressive razors and straights. The Rockwell is one of the best (IMO of course) DE razors I have ever used, and I think it shines the best on 3-4 plates. I’m not discounting your experience, but being inefficient is not a complaint I often hear about this razor.

From what you said, I would move up a plate, not down.

 

I think that is my favorite brush that you own. The AOS sure matches well. Again, the photog emerges.

Nice brush! I had a guy make me one kind of like it. Been trying to get him to make me an old fashioned shaving table, but he’s waffling a bit.
