I didn’t get a chance earlier, welcome to the 30DC! My favorite DE is the 2011 R41. I’m not sure the descripwas not written in English and the maker is from Hungary. I don’t think they are carbon fiber, but the razor does look cool

Dickinson's WH, Dove Men + Care PS Balm, Clubman Pinaud AS After giving my face a 48 hour break from shaving I picked up another vintage razor my wife gave me for Valentine's Day but had not used until now. This is a GEM 1912 travel razor, which comes with a metal flip open case. Although the metal travel case looks rough, it's really not too bad. It has lost a lot of it's plating but it still performs its intended function of housing and protecting the razor. The razor itself is in very good condition and either saw minimal use during its life, or it had been maintained very well. I already had, and used, an ER 1912 so it wasn't new to me. The difference between the two is the handle on this GEM 1912 is shorter. I soused the Scalpmaster soap and it quickly and easily lathered with the Barburys synthetic. There was a time not too long ago when I thought this soap was mediocre at best, but after my last few uses I've come to like it and enjoy my shaves with it. It's a thirsty soap, so it likes to take a bath ahead of time. After 2 easy passes I had a CFS and I was delighted. No blood loss either. Happy shaves, everyone!

I have a travel 1912 also . Handle and case are different than yours. When my cap is closed it looks like the blade is at an angle . Don't know if this is normal but it doesn't affect the shave .
Sunday April 8 - sampling Soapy Bathman PAL Adjustable on 2nd notch / Personna (unknown # of shaves) Jason's non-30DC Cypress Badger brush (Maggards 24mm 2-band badger knot) The Dry Dock shave bowl Soapy Bathman Desperado soap sample Alum and Soapy Bathman Cup of Joe aftershave balm Today I moved on to Soapy Bathman samples. The guy at Canadian Blade Co. really likes Soapy Bathman shave soap and highly recommends it -- says it's one of the best soaps out there and "provide an extremely full lather and have amazing cushion and slickness". He also notes it's a harder soap and can benefit from being bloomed (aka "soused"). I guess he must honestly like the product since he also has Soapy Bathman make his own branded soap and aftershave balm for him. I can't speak to the hardness of the soap pucks since my sample consisted of shavings, but they did seem somewhat harder and dryer than the B&M soaps I last used. I did find the soap lathered quickly and easily (I did souse the sample as per suggestion), and the lather was creamy and long-lasting with very good slickness and protection. The soap is a tallow product with lanolin and glycerin in it as well, so this is not too surprising. Tomorrow I will try a sample of their fall limited edition soap, Fall at the Cabin. The Pal injector cleaned my face off in short order. The shave felt very smooth and effortless, and two passes left me with a BBS even though I was making no attempt to achieve one. I did have one small weeper at the corner of my mouth where I often get them; it looked like I nicked a small pimple there. My face felt well-tended after the shave, but I finished up with my Soapy Bathman balm anyway. These balms are less liquid than many on the market, being more of a cream reminiscent of Nivea Sensitive Balm. It sinks in quickly without leaving any greasy feeling behind it but does leave the skin feeling very soft and smooth. Hope everyone is had a great weekend!

Arko Adjustable April!! April 8 Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (Me) Blade - (2) Soap - Arko Brush - Jayaruh #54 Post - Alum Second day with the Slim and Ladas. And, of course, the soap of the day is Arko. JR54 for the lather. Definitely one of my favorite three brushes and it makes Arko so simple even one of my exes could make lather. Two passes, some touch up, and then a third pass just because I felt like it. I was in the zone and didn't want to quit. The baby is in the house, alum was mostly quiet - hard to beat. I will do one more night with this setup then switch out to my Adjustable Schick Injector. By the time I've done three shaves on that one my new Qshave should be in the house. You may remember my first one suffered the "Futur curse" of a broken blade support which can happen occasionally, apparently to the clones as well as the real thing. I decided I wanted a workable one in my den so it's on the way to help out this month especially! Some discussion earlier that having 1000 blades or less means you're out. You'll be happy to know that I have over 1000 just in Sharp Star and Voskhod. I have no idea the total count of all blades but it's time to update my inventory so something to do while I sit here for the next couple of nights. Don't tell me I don't have an exciting life!! Unconditional Surrender and Bon Vivant would be next in that order, Clint. Like them all though- CL has set a very high standard of scent, longevity and face feel, imho. Thank you, John. Thanks, Charlie. This Coleman lantern (40s-50s apparently) is from a family friend. It is in very nice condition. Most of the Coleman products that I got from my grandfather or parents was much more used and beat on. Many, many family outings on the old white gas stoves...
hello fellow shavers,sunday night shave . british flat bottom,nacet blade 3rd use ,4 days growth. derby/wilkinson stick soap mix ,wcs synth brush.awesome 3 pass shave, no drama dfs+ . aqua velva blue to finish.nice simple shave to end the day,blade is sharp and smooth still. may try it for a fourth shave.i usually change the blade after 3.imo blades feel like astra sp and gsb but a touch sharper.very nice .gary model...revell 1957 ford ranchero late 60s issue.
