Yup, sounds like the MMOC is completely tamed now, Jim! Great stuff. I agree, Randy, most of the B&M soaps need a few shaves to get used to. Some I grew to love, others not so much. Is that the homemade knot, Patrick? A very nice combo and picture. The Port au Prince isn’t my favourite scent, either, but it is a great performer. Looks like the 1912 is in great shape, Dan! Nice combo. Nice write up, John. I almost pulled the trigger on Soapy Bathman soaps a few times last year. Not sure why I didn’t. I’m sure I will next year. They are a ‘local’ company in that they are from BC. I’m down to about 600 DE blades, I guess I’d better start stretching them to 4 shaves...
I'm a rookie. I only have about 400. I do have another 200 on the way though. I'm shaving daily now so I really need to stock up. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
If you want, I could send you a chunk of my Cup of Joe shaving soap for you to try. I should have included one when I sent you that other stuff for fixing my Semogue brush for me.
Interesting. I've woken up this morning with a shave that has lasted longer than any with my Merkur 34c, and all but a couple of my shaving spots are gone. I never had a 'clean' neck whilst using the 34c, but then again I never really used witch hazel as a post shave with that razor.
Appreciate it, John, but I think I’m ok for a bit. To be honest, I already have other samples of different stuff that I haven’t even got to yet.

Rockwell 6c (3) Rapira Swedish Supersteel (4) Yaqi Slivertip B&M Latha Taiga Speick AS Splash Proraso Blue AS Balm Another great BBS shave with the Rockwell. The combination is just so smooth and forgiving, I feel like I'm getting away using more pressure than I should, buffing without lather more than should, I guess we will see. I got the 4 plate loaded with a fresh Vokshod, for tomorrow's shave. Have a good morning Gents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And my wife had the temerity to suggest I already had enough blades, when she saw the 5 tucks of GSB I bought a couple days ago. I will just to send her here to set her straight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks, Clint. I plan to try two more of their shave soaps -- I will use a sample of Fall at the Cabin today and then break out my tub of Cup of Joe tomorrow. So far though, it seems like good stuff and worth the praise given it by Canadian Blade Co. There are several standout North American artisans making soap now. My list of ones I have tried and found excellent includes B+M, CRSW, First Canadian, Jeeves, Reef Point, Route 66, Soap Commander, Stirling, Supply Co. and TSD. And I would now add Soapy Bathman to it.
Day 138 Gem Micromatic Gem stainless Semogue BC Mistura Arko I just did one pass N to S as my blade got tuggy and I didn't have the time or energy to change it mid shave. Really not that bad of a shave. Close enough and no irritation.
