I'm glad you enjoyed that, unfortunately it's a pretty accurate description.

The Carbon blades are good but only give three shaves at the most.
The first shave with the Stainless can be rough but from then in I really like them.
But, of course ymmv.

Two passes with the Herder - cut my chin a little on the second so gave up chasing BBS and just stuck with the two, skipping the recently added ATG pass. The Valobra was a shave stick I got in a PIFand I've grated into an old TOBS tub. Seems nice but tonight was not the shave to judge it on.

My new Lund showed up today. It wasn’t advertised as NOS but it may as well be. Virtually no evidence of hone wear under the loupe at all. It’s a beauty. It appears to be slightly older than my other one based on the tang length. This one is an 11/16 near wedge that gives a lovely smooth shave. Here it is on it’s maiden voyage.

Tonight's shave was with a Russian Rat Razor. Its not a show piece, but it is a fantastic shaving instrument. I has a glass smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. This is another very very noisy razor, probably because of the hardness of the steel. Zero issues.

Just a great 3 pass shave that was refreshing and relaxing. Nothing better than winding down a hectic work day with a close shave and a 3 finger serving of good old Kentucky Bourbon. Now that’s a good ending. Have a great evening and shaves Gents.....
