Ouch! Maybe a defective blade? Did they occur on all three passes or just on the last one?

    Star 3 Piece razor
    Viking's Sword blade
    JR #85 brush
    Palmolive Mentholated SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol

Very smooth, comfortable and effective shave this a.m. All the parts liked each other a lot. This is one of those setups I could use every day. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Some people really enjoy their menthol shaves. Right, Jeff @Yehuda D?

Local Gent Field and Stream soap, Iron Town badger brush, Portland Razor blade with G10 handles, Chiseled Face Cryogen aftershave. And yes, I'm still enjoying the head pounding effect of the menthol in that aftershave (eyes watering uncontrollably).

Full beard and head shave with the Cliz-matic /BIC (2) was just a blast. Love this setup.[IMG]

Razor: SMX Super Max Cartridge (3)
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    AS: Mennen Afta

With a better grade lather+ a pre shave oil, the shave was more comfortable, smoother and cleaner. Also more enjoyable. I dislike grading myself, so I`m going to put it all on the equipment. A fantastic easy 2 pass shave, WTG/ATG with almost no clean up. A BBS isn`t a stretch. God Bless.

Thank you! A little bit of metal polish does wonders for these old razors. This one was quite the beater when I got it, even the adjust was stuck solid with a thick layer or crud.
