  3. Great photo and thank you for the review of the soap and brush.

  4. Thank you Jason. The Rover has a finished loft of 24mm x 48mm which is really a great all around size of brush. However, after using some other monster brushes it fills very small my comparison.

I have three aftershaves that are nearing completion. So I will be ordering some Chatillon later this summer for sure.
  5. Fantastic classic shave Rick. Thank for posting your thoughts on the preshave.

  8. Back to my battle with AoS tallow:

I worked it liked it owed me money and was avoiding my calls. The brush still needs some breaking in but it made some excellent lather. The Riga Razor is on of my favourites, big, round point, thumb notch and half hollow, plus it looks cool. A nice shave and off to work.

    Irritation A Closeness A Smoothness A Sharpness A+

    Razor: Riga Razor
    Strop: T. Miller
Brush: Handle by Jason knot Omega boar
    Pre: Nivea
    Soap: AoS Tallow

  11. Without the WSP Pure Badger Brush now, that leaves me with 4(unless I pick up a Burma Shave):

    Jayaruh #59
    Stoylin "li'l brudder"
    Stoylin "Pro Handle"
Crown King 26 mm Spindle Duro Tali.

I've been happy with all 4.
  12. Thanks and thanks! The bottle is a month or two old. @jtspartan takes the blame for my daily brush handle. :)
  13. Thanks Clint. Thats the razor that got me started into all this . Almost went for chrome but changed my mind at last minute . Glad i did .

  16. Good afternoon gentlemen! I got a decent amount of sleep today while you guys were busy! Took me a while to catch up. Great reports, setups and photos!

I have missed a couple of shaves. Slept a little too long and didn't want to rush my shave. Night shift still going. Tonight marks three weeks. Latest update, possibly 6am Saturday, nighttime coverage will be over. Who knows?

I think I'll try and get a shave in before going to bed tomorrow morning.

    Happy shaves all!

  20. SOTD 4.18.2018
    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Brush: Barburys synthetic
    Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
    Razor: Shaving Factory TTO
    Blade: Wilkinson-Sword (German) (1)
Post-shave: Assured WH, Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 AS Balm, Aqua Velva Musk AS / Cologne

Quick little shave this morning with Williams and the Shaving Factory TTO (purchased at Sallys). The Williams lathered up very nicely and provided an excellent layer of protection. The razor is effective, but mild. While I could easily do 2 passes on my face and be done, I had to do a couple of clean-up passes on my stubborn neck whiskers.

    Happy shaves everyone!
