I don't know much about them, but my wife picked one up, last week. They are supposed to crank out negative ions, which are supposed to be very healthy. The one my wife obtained is a somewhat attractive one, that is white. There are many claims to them, but I don't know how much I believe. Any of you folks have experiences with them?? Other Himalayan Rock Salt Lamp Benefits Commonly reported health benefits of Himalayan salt lamps include: Improving breathing problems and reducing allergies. Less colds and flu (due to less airborne viruses). Increased relaxation and calmness and less stress. Improved ability to concentrate and work for longer periods around electrical equipment like computers. Fewer headaches and migraines. Reduced symptoms from disorders like rheumatism and arthritis. An improvement in skin diseases. Easier to get to sleep at night. A better overall sense of health and wellbeing. I decided to order a couple off of Amazon, for a fraction of the cost of what my wife's cost. They arrived 2 days after ordering. One was around 10-11 pounds, massive, and looks great. $11.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R7KE6NI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The next was about 5-6 pounds and looks great too. $9.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R7KE41M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I can only speak to the one experience I had in a Las Vegas Hym. salt "cave" which was included in a massage that I had booked. And bottom line, I think the benefits are a bunch of hocum. At least, I didn't notice any difference before vs. after. YMMV. But, I will be curious to hear your take on it.
A prism actually. The refracted light rays condition the edges by coating them with photovoltaic energy.
I owned one I’m the past. I didn’t notice any of the benefits but it looked cool. .... until the day it ‘melted’ due to high humidity and made a terrible mess.
From what I can tell, the science is just not there. Every article I can find extolling their benefits is written by someone who is selling them.
I've been using it in some of my foods, for a couple of years now. Some friends of ours swear by it, in their diet, and helping various issues. I use it because of the extra trace minerals, and it looks nice in my clear grinder.
I think I will start giving them a good lick, after some hard yard work. Just to replenish my lost minerals.
I agree with everyone else. I was given one for my birthday almost 2 yrs ago and I've never noticed any health benefits and it's on 24-7. It's cool to look at when the lights are out though.
Also good for the grill... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MG51OE6/ref=asc_df_B01MG51OE65445382/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B01MG51OE6&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198061703654&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17317331048898252046&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032943&hvtargid=pla-351991584611 But... I suspect there is a lot personal self healing because you believe... A close family friend owns a spa and sold one, at a discount, to my wife years ago... I'm not so sold on the benefits. She also has a gizmo that ionizes water and when she goes to the Oregon Coast she gets rocks with good energy for hot stone treatments... and returns the ones that have had their energy depleted... Go figure... Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk
