If that doesn't work, @davesyates, you may need to do a variation on what vintage PC aficionados do to reverse the yellowing of plastic. Basically, take a tall drinking glass; pour about an inch or so of hydrogen peroxide into the glass; stand the razor in the glass, blade end down; cover the opening of the glass with plastic wrap and put the whole thing out in the sun for several hours. What happens is that the peroxide breaks down, releasing ozone which is trapped in the glass by the plastic wrap. The ozone reacts with the hardening agent of the plastic to reverse the yellowing. And, yes, I have done this to a J1 with no ill effects.
Thanks! I will definitely be trying that tomorrow. So, don't submerse the plastic, keep it out of the H2O2? I am also assuming there is no ill effect on the metal? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
You can submerge the plastic as it is not supposed to matter. I saw no adverse affect on the metal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sat 21st April Omega 11126 Fitjar Slatteroy-sample Supply SE - V2 No 3 plate Schick Proline [ 4 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Since updating my original Supply SE by equipping it with a V2 revised No3 plate, it shaves a treat. After initial clearance work I find the Razor so smooth that if not careful one gets the impression that a shave is finished, whereas you have to check out which areas need a bit more attention.

Sun 22nd April Stirling Syn. 26mm Stirling Baker Street Schick N3 Schick Japanese Twin [ 25 ] Tuff Green A/S Lotion This for me was a bit of a historic Shave as I have never got this many good Shaves from a blade. Was a very enjoyable Shave though at the end the blade was pulling a tad so time to change blades.
The Type E 5 Does have a Black Handle..It Does Not Open..The Type E 5s Are Rare..Many of the Type E 2s Were Black Handled that Opens..The Type E 5 Strangely Enough it the Same Blade Exposure as the Type E 1 that Opens with the Square Spring..The Type E 1 & E 5 are the Most Aggressive Of All the Family of E Types.. Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: Wee Scot BB Soap: Cyril R. Salter Tallow Razor: Schick I1 Blade: Schick Twin Post: Cold water rinse, Floid Mentolado Vigoroso AS I don't really know how the Schick Twin blade works, does one blade cut close and the other closer still, or as modern speil puts it, the first blade pulls the hair out for the second blade to cut? What I do know is, it gives a very close, if somewhat boring shave. The Wee Scot is calming down and beginning to show me its true character, how can such a diminutive brush generate and release so much lather? Have a great Sunday.
SE Sunday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Colgate Shaving Mug Soap Jayaruh #144 Badger Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor Darwin Hollow Ground CWR Thayer's Lemon WH English Leather I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 badger brush. I did two passes with the Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor with a Darwin Hollow Ground blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Darwin!! A quick first glance and I assumed you had used your Rolls. Upon further inspection I noticed the logo on the blade looked wrong and I had to look closer. Beauty of a setup @Jayaruh. Is there much difference in feel between the Darwin and Rolls?
Thanks! I had not heard of the black handle E2 before seeing that one. I will be on the look out for one now.
