The comparison shave... pre-Dovo Bismarck vs yesterday’s Dovo Bismarck 2 The Dovo is better balanced, but mostly because I put these scales on . The tang on this Bismarck is thicker and it makes it feel a little less nimble on the strop and face. Personally, I like this older, slightly bigger version. This has about an 1/8 larger blade. 5/8 C-Mon Blackie Abbate Y La Mantia - Frankincense and Myrrh ABC boar Good soap but the scent is pretty weak, gobs of lather and great post shave feel. The ABC boar is the "bomb", very nice brush. It's hard to imagine the brush getting better after a break in period. Decent shave this morning but a touch up will be in order before the next shave. Have a good one.
Keith, I obviously made this new purchase solely in the name of scientific research. I explained to my wife that the forum needed this comparison and I was compelled to provide this in depth, sophisticated information... I am pretty sure she didn't agree .
Your sacrifice for the team is noted and appreciated. I will be happy to give testimony that indeed we needed this comparisons and that your efforts advanced science. Tonight's shave was with a Rescue Razor. I had a stunning 2 pass shave, that left me BBS, without touch-ups. I also used a "Mustache Razor" that I hadn't used in a while. Both performed without issues. Razors: Landers Frary & Clark #345. New Britain Conn. USA. Pfeilring Solingen. Tiefgekuhlt Inox. Mustache Razor. Brush- Stirling Boar Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented Aftershave- Avon Spicy. Avon "Little Brown Jug" Decanter.
