  4. This is my third Red Cross Tech. (I donated the first two to the ARC in Parkersburg, WV.) The razor does not appear to have been used.

  5. Yeah, I am glad they switched to Gillettes, I have one of the old Cynch Razors and it is much less quality wise. Since I am at work, I had to borrow a picture from Waits.

  6. I picked up this Treet 3-piece DE razor for $7 at an antique shop in Palatka FL last weekend. It’s a great shaver. I can’t seem to find out much about it on the web. Anyone know of these razors?

  7. It’s looks just like the star razor. May be made by same company and just renamed for private label

  8. Same company. ASR (Star, Ever Ready, Gem) acquired the Treet , Pal and Personna brands in 1953.

  9. I spotted one in a shop couple days ago. The handle looked good, but some corrosion under the base plate. How do they shave? Mild, medium, or aggressive?

  11. I heard they're very nice, but mild. They vary in construction with the handle being brass or aluminum. I probably get one someday.

  12. Mine shaves mild but more aggressive than my EJ DE89. My first shave with the Treet was a Monday with a full weekend's growth and the razor was a bit overmatched but did fine. Subsequent shaves during the week were very good, however. Very close. I really like the razor, but will probably not use it when I have several days growth.

    Thanks for the info all.

  13. I give mine a medium. Not as smooth as a Tech but still a darn good shave.

Nice, my friend! Good stuff for sure!

  16. Not shave related, but after not having a dresser for three years, saw this on Craig's list and had to get it. Living out of a suitcase gets a little old.

Hardware isn't original, but it's all solid Oak. Picking up one on Monday for my wife. Happy wife, happy life! :happy093:

  20. From today's flea market adventures, a labeled Queer Creek and a brick of a Thuringain. The QC is 5" and the Thuri is 7"
