Got back from my most recent week of travels and once again picked up a cold. Didn’t feel like messing around for a shave so I picked up my Bunny. It was a treat as always. Arko Adjustable April!! April 28 Razor - Qshave (Futur clone) (6) Blade - (1) Soap - Arko Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic Post - Alum Three shaves left in Arko Adjustable April so I might as well go out with the biggest and baddest (as far as gap goes) adjustable of them all. Qshave set on my namesake setting and a Sharp Star blade. Russian Steel, Chinese clone of a German razor and Turkish soap. I feel like playing "We Are the World". Putting this razor on 6 is daunting even if you've done it before. I always hesitate just a bit before starting the stroke just to make sure I have the angle right to avoid the removal of my skin. The Sharp Star was a noisy beast with this razor but it was smooth and comfortable. Loved the auditory feedback. Two passes and I have a very nice DFS. Nearly BBS but I chose not to try touchups tonight. Just didn't see the need. Alum was quiet, even on a couple of spots I thought I might have gotten a bit heavy handed. Nice shave overall. Same setup tomorrow with just a different brush. I think I'm going to take the remnants of the Arko in the mug I have left Monday night and do a 50/50 mix with Williams. Kind of curious how "Warkoms" soap might work.
RECENT SHAVES Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: GSB Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Turtleship Bay Rum Post: PAA Agharta A/S Excellent shave the other day. Turtleship soap is a top notch performer with one of the best imgredient lists of any soap, loaded with skin food. Post shave is about as good as it gets without making your skin greesy. Finished off with Agharta which is a scent that changes a bit as time goes on, starts off spicy and gets a bit floral. A pretty original scent IMO. Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade: GSB Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic Soap: Ballenclaugh Festive Parlor Post: Reef Point Admirality balm 2nd shave with the Yaqi brush, it is a bit more floppy than the other synthetics I have tried, but the face feel is soft and gentle, but the floppy feel makes it a bit aqward to lather at first but it is a great brush and for the price I would recommend anyone that is curious to try a Yaqi brush and see if it works for you. The Ballenclaugh soap whipped up a thick lather as always. Have a bit of a cold at the moment and this was one of the few soaps I could detect scent from. It is a mix of citrus, leather, and a tiny bit of clove added for depth. Ballenclaugh are one of my favorite artisans, truly underrated as their soaps are unique and excellent performers. Finished off with Admirality balm to keep the citrus theme going. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shave$!

Thank you very much - you are too kind My wife makes the art - she basically does what she likes (although I sometimes do hint at certain colours I would like) and I then look, how to incorporate it best into the picture...
Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: Wee Scot BB Cream: Arko Razor: ER 1912 Blade: Gem Blue Star Post: Warm then Cold water rinse, Pashana ASL A lovely relaxed Sunday morning shave with the razor that kindled my interest in SEs and had me wondering if S.E actually stands for superior equipment. The Arko cream isn't half bad either, well the scent isn't half as bad as the soap. All finished of with a splash of the wonderful Pashana, bliss. Enjoy your Sunday.

The Krampert's Bay Rum aftershave is awesome. What a nice scent and it allows me to skip using a balm. Enjoy your Sunday!

I'm glad to see some commentary on the PAA AGharta. The website goes into that looooooong story, from which I could never get the idea of what it is like.
