Still a beginner so go easy on me. I've been a Gillette Mach 3 and Fusion cartridge razor user for years. I've always had sensitive skin, ingrown hairs and razor burn and needless to say - I finally had enough. I started researching alternatives and my research somehow has brought me here. Recently, I picked up a Merkur 23c, sample pack of razors, Omega Boar Brush, and Proraso Green soap. I am very open to suggestions! Woke up to about a half inch of snow this morning!
I'm not familiar with the razor, but the other gear is good stuff! How's your results? If you have questions, I know a group of New Shavers learning vintage gear & Vintage Shavers trying out new razors.
While I am no way a professional, I think I did pretty good for my first time. (No razor burn or nicks) Throughout reading this forum, I've realized that the general consensus is that there will be good shaves and some bad BUT I will keep to it and try and achieve that perfect shave! Thank you for the link!
