Like the days of our glory, we never sent a Medal of Honor winner back to where he could get his ass shot off. Enjoy your movie tour, you are embedded in out history.
I can’t even explain how much I think shavettes are a different art than straights. Mostly same technique, just a way softer touch.. As a guy who has gone “mostly” straight blades for the last year and a half or so, shavettes seem to need a real extra step of careful.
I wanna throw in there, @Drygulch, cause I forgot: I finished up a 4 oz. puck of Stirling Black Ice in the last couple weeks. Enough so, that I am a couple shaves into its replacement tub. Please mark me down for 1.
May 1st Razor: Blackbird OC Blade: GSB Brush: SOC boar Soap: PAA Bay Rum Thayers cucumber AS: CC Cat o' Ninetails Good afternoon gentlemen! Some great looking shaves and some shenanigans! It appears my issues with the Blackbird were my issues. Wonderful three pass BBS shave. Barely a whisper from the alum on my neck. I know I sound like a broken record but I have been getting consistently great shaves! The Blackbird definitely feels like my most aggressive razor. A lot of blade feel. Really made it easier to pay attention to pressure and angle. The SOC boar whipped up a nice lather. The PAA Bay Rum was slick and protective. The CC Cat O' Ninetails smells nice. No more burn than other aftershaves but what burn there is does last longer. Have a great night gentlemen! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
You've arrived! The ability to feel the blade on one's face is the most critical perception in shaving. It's why SR vets rarely get more than a weeper. Congrats, and thank you for sharing your process for other new guys to read.
Thanks Chris! I really feel like I have come a long way in the last two months thanks in large part to the 30DC! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I can explain-we're all watching Caps-PENGUINS. As for me, I'm listening to the Caps announcers from their website. This allows me to chat here too .
@Paul Turner - Somehow I missed the post where we found out. Happy Birthday, Buddy. You are a truly, good hearted friend. I am a better person for having known you. I hope your day was special.
Thanks, Charlie . I would have liked that Winston better as my opening avatar. It was a nice day. A tiny bit bittersweet-first ever birthday without my Mom, and I felt it, but at the same time, she would have wanted me to enjoy this day in my life. In fact, I'm going to dinner at her old house Friday-the new owners just invited me.
Real nice message, @PickledNorthern . I'm so glad to be here and to have made friends like you. Oh...and to inprove my shaving experience, too .
