Kai seem to have a few more Feather AC compatible straight style blade holders on the market right now. Has anyone got their hands on the wooden or carbon fibre handled versions? The scales look different to the standard type. Also does anyone have experience with both the Kai Captain (CAP-J7) and the Kai 'Excelcia' (CAP-EXJ) - is there a marked difference in quality - given the big price difference between the two. Any opinions?
I honestly don’t believe there is much of a difference, especially for the difference in cost. I used to have a DX and the construction was exceptional, but again the cost is fairly high for a “blade holder”. Personally if I were to get one again, I would get a Feather SS and have custom scales put on it and it would still be cheaper than the DX or Excelcia.
