The old wives story is from rusty nails. Tetanus is an anaerobic bacteria that thrives in deep puncture wounds. Hence the idea you get it from stepping on an iron nail, but aluminum would work just as well! Assuming a shaving error would be shallow, I wouldn't worry about it.
Mrs. Gulch has a great sense of humor. Don’t forget to mute the point and tip. Will you hone it on synthetics or a natural?
Probably just on a 12k. The metal is so soft I shouldn’t need real low grits. She has an awesome sense of humor, and she even puts up with me.

IIRC, you risk getting tetanus from cuts in contact with animals, especially horses. Did a horse drink the drink in the can? If not, you're probably good to go. Probably...
I love that Shavemac 400 Mark, was it a special buy/LE ? I notice they don't have that handle style listed on their website. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Great photo, Mark. I haven't seen Nuavia Nera before. Is that a new addition to their lineup? What is it like?
So apparently I was posting in the wrong thread. Wasn't paying any attention whatsoever, just using the "X like's your comment" notification to go to the thread. So no new shave for May, but maybe something for MAYhem? I dunno. When I last shaved I left it open to dry like normal. This morning I went to fold it up, and it wouldn't fold I eventually got it back in, but this evening when I went to pull it out, it wouldn't do it easily. i eventually got it out and decided to look at it, and it had a noticeable bend/curve do it. is this normal? I straightened it out, but a bit worried if it isn't flat. I guess I could lay it on a table or something to see. It is the Slim Focus AI that was PIF'ed to me few months ago.
May 7th Razor: Blackbird OC Blade: Astra SP (3) Brush: SOC badger Soap: CK Aqua DG Lucky Tiger face tonic AS: CK Aqua DG Good evening my friends! Another great shave! The Astra SP wasn't quite as smooth as the previous two shaves, still very good, but I'm calling it. On to the next blade. The Astra set the bar high. I'm really enjoying the Crown King soaps, nice and slick. They're quick to lather. Have a great night gentlemen! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Mayhem shave 1 So I selected a razor that scares me, more than any other razor. The scary razor (Move your mouse to reveal the content) The scary razor (open) The scary razor (close) The last time I used a similar razor it was 6 years ago, I wanted to see if my technique, brush and soap would change the results. I resisted the temptation to use a lot of pressure and to razor buff. I did my standard 4 pass shave and the results were very different than my expectations. I was worried about irritation and ingrown hairs but thought I would get a very close shave. By avoiding pressure, blade buffing and not shaving without shaving cream on the area I was able to avoid any ingrown hairs and got just a tickle from the alum. On the other hand, it was not a very close shave. The areas that were the hardest were my chin and upper lip. It was impossible to go ATG on my upper lip. The 'lubrication strip' left a weird film on my face and might be part of the reason I could not get a closer shave. While I used light pressure I think if I added more pressure and blade buffing I would get a closer shave but at the expense of irritation and ingrowns. Irritation A Closeness B Razor: Mayhem Brush: Paladin Soap: AdP AS: Speick AS, Edwin Jagger ASB Scent: Penhaligon’s Hammam Bouquet
Thanks John! Nera is the newest addition to the Nuavia line up. It's a sea scent, lighter than Rossa and Blu.
Good post Keith! I like how you hid your weapon of choice behind a spoiler. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks Andrew! It wasn't a an LE but I guess they no longer stock it. You could contact Bernd directly to inquire about the 400. I know they had Black and White versions.
