  8. May 9th
    Razor: Blackbird OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Brush: SOC badger
    Soap: CK Porthos
    Thayers Lavender
    AS: CK Porthos

Good evening gentlemen! I hope everyone is well!

The Bic is in the blade bank. It didn't pair well with the Blackbird. Three pass face, two pass neck. The atg pass on my jaw and chin I resorted to short buffing strokes, chopping my way through because it didn't want to cut. The result, a couple of weepers, warmer than usual alum with a hot spot on my jaw. I rarely get weepers these days. I did nick my lip, user error, no need to shave my lip. On to the next blade.

    Have a good night fellas![IMG]

  10. Great pic Jim! Bic makes some good blades, but they after also known for some QC issues. If you try another one you may have different results.

  11. Agreed. I love the blades but there's a higher percentage of blades that go straight in the bin.

So, just out of curiosity, how many Crown King soap/AS combos did you order, Jim?

  20. When I go against the grain on my neck, I almost always have the scales straight out, similar to a kamisori style. That seems to keep them out of the way the best for me.
