  2. Thanks, gentlemen! And good luck in your search, Perry, although I don't think the H1 is terribly rare.

It certainly is! I'm hoping a few days with the Soap Destroyer will change its mind. If not, I may have to haul out the Kent BK12 Aircraft Carrier for a day. I think by the time it finished loading that cream tub would be wiped clean.
  3. I hope the play goes well and you all have a great evening!

  5. MAYhem & I'm on a Focus!?

    Proraso Green PS soap
    Colgate Cup soap
    Ocean vintage boar
    Suribachi & cool water
    Fatip Piccolo, Kai blade
    Alum, Shulton Old Spice
SOTD 05102018.gif I'm enjoying the glycerin based/enhanced preshave soap. Not just the eucalyptus & menthol - I think it's smoothing out my reduction. That's the first part of what's become a Focus of sorts. The Fatip used to be one of those scary aggressive DEs. It's just an efficient open comb three piece now. I was feeling the need for Vintage so I put pre WWII German brush (original knot) against a puck of soap that's surely older that me. While the PS soap was applied and gifting me with that Green scent, I loaded from the dried out old puck. Previous uses didn't produce much of a lather so I squeezed the soap out of the brush and loaded a second time. A little water and results were achieved. Not overly abundant, but creamy and slick. Even better it didn't pull a Williams disappearing act. Took my three passes, a little edge of the jaw, chin, and neck over indulgence and called it done. Alum was quite smooth with no real report. I'll attribute it to the PS soap, sufficient loading of SS, familiarity of the DE through repeated uses, and the Kai blade holding it's edge on it's fourth use.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

  8. My gear was spread across out dresser, bathroom counter top, medicine cabinet, my dresser drawer. Yeah it was everywhere. Shes seen me go from one razor and a couple blades to a whole fleet of gear and shaving with whatever i can get my hands on. Been very supportive the whole way through. Bless her heart . If i had closet space mine would be there too.

  20. May 10th
    Razor: Blackbird OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox
    Brush: SOC boar
    Soap: CK Atomic Bay Rum
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: CK Atomic Bay Rum

Good evening gentlemen! Another day of great shaves and reports.

I gave thought to skipping tonight's shave after last night's shave, I probably should have. The Bolzano felt pretty good and I ended up with a very close shave but the alum was pretty warm on my neck and the same hot spot on my jaw. I also have some redness on my neck. To give the Bolzano a fair shake I'm going to take a day or two off from shaving.

    Have a great night.[IMG]
