The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #287 brush. I did two passes with the Dbl Duck 5/8 Straight Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Perma-Sharp Super in the Gillette Black Handle Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman aftershave. Bob

19 May 2018 RazoRock Puros, Omega 10086, Fatip Grande, Gillette 7 O'Clock (7), RazoRock Puros. This shave concludes my "soap" week. Going all creams for the next 7 shaves starting tomorrow. Also, I'll be switching to my other razor (RR 37 slant) for the next 35 shaves (7 shaves each of my 5 blade rotation).

Went off without a "hitch". Speaking of hitch, my congrats to the newly married royals. I wasn't invited to Windsor, so I thought I'd smell like it. Lol. Hope y'all did as well, or better.
Saturday May 19, 2018 Razor: SMX Cartridge Blade: SMX 3 BLade Cart (6) Pre Shave: DIY Brush: VDH Badger Lather: Proraso Green AS: Mennen afta Newspaper Date: Jan. 6, 1945 Max (smx) with 3 blades shaves no better than 1, sorry bout that, I have a three blade SMX and a Gillette Guard with a single blade, and they both shave about the same, the single blade may be a slight bit better ( more agile). Today`s shave was eh, boring, kinda like back in the 50`s, an every day task. Using 2 passes, WTG/ATG a normal amount of clean up, a cold water rinse, topped with afta. Actually a pretty good shave with some tugging around the chin area. Not filled with joy, but satisfied. God bless. Bill
By far my best straight shave yet this morning. The awkwardness of holding and positioning the blade on the third pass is diminishing. Mild irritation as borne out by the alum, but nothing a bit of splash couldn't eradicate. I still have to crack the code on my neck, but I think practice & experimentation may get me to a point where I don’t need to cleanup my neck with a DE.
