Beautiful razor! I have one of these that I haven't tried yet. Very curious to see how it compares to the pre-war tech!

 

Picked this Rubberset 400 up last evening. Going to have Jim (@Jayaruh ) re-knot it with a boar knot.
I've been wanting one of these for a long time.

Personally, I prefer mine over the pre-War Tech. The heavier baseplate gives it a feel more like a New.

 

That's a beauty. I love the English Gillettes.

I have too many loose heads, and find most of the modern handles from the usual suspects too heavy and/or too long. At 62g and 3" this should work well for a lot of what I've got. Knurling is not high end quality but I think it will do and I like the Bulldog style (a lot of the "Bulldog" handles -- like the Weber- don't actually resemble the Gillette Bulldog) Was $19.99 delivered on eBay.

Couldn’t find this thread for awhile Tapatalk always drowns out certain threads for me. Anyway just picked up my newest addition of the den
I’ve got several things on the way including
2. 7/8 wade and butchers both with different etchings on the blade
A custom Shavemac with the silvertip bulb knot 28mm D-01 on a black 82 style handle. Ohhhh yeaaahhh lol (that’s supposed to sound like Cool aid man not the guy from adventures of wetshaving lol he’s creepy)
Got 8 wade and butchers just finishing restoration I’ll take pics of those soon to show guys how gorgeous they came out!!
