Williams Wednesday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Williams Jayaruh #289 Superior Lather Catcher CVS Carbon Steel SE CWS Thayer's Peach WH Barbasol AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #289 brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with a CVS Carbon Steel SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. Wednesday May 23,2018 Razors: OneBlade Core/ SMX Cartridge, 3 edges Lather: Proraso Green Dog: Boxer, courtesy of Old Foggies Antique Again with this Core, 3 passes, 2 WTG/ATG. No luck! Had to finish up with an SMX pass to clean up. I found the correct Angle to the Core, but every time I washed the head off, I had to find that angle again. Too mild (like the Wilkie) and too heavy. The handle never fit my hand. I must say , this is not the razor for me. Right now I`m sporting a very fine shave, thanks to the SMX. God Bless Bill
Today's shave was with a Folding Japanese Kamasori razor. I had a very smooth and silent 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. This is a well made razor. I did put a symmetrical edge on it, even though it is ground asymmetrically. It seems to work better, with my one handed shaving style. Razor- Japanese Suzuki No.1. Asymmetrical grind. Brush- RazoRock 400 with a Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger Knot. Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Ships Lantern Decanter. MMM MMMM Good.
