Done. The “Relaxed Shaver Award” is born. I also nominated @Keithmax for his regular string of “relaxing” BBS shaves with all manner of straight razors.
May 26th Razor: Blackbird OC Blade: Dorco ST301(3) Brush: RR Bruce Stirling mentholated pre shave Soap: SS Lollipop Citrus Lucky Tiger face tonic AS: Stirling Pharaohs Dreamsicle Good morning gentlemen! What a morning! Excellent shave and my name was pulled in the TSD support raffle! Two pass shave with touch up on my jaw and neck left me DFS and nearly silent alum. Great start to the day! Have a great Sunday my friends! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
May 27, 2018 Wolfman WR Ti .74 OC with Triad Ti Aristocrat Feather WDC-6 with Omega Boar Nuàvia Blu A truly wonderful shave this morning. The Blu is easy to lather and the scent just fills the room. Sticking with my 2 pass pattern from yesterday, I started ATG followed by XTG and had the baby in sight. So I touch up my jawline and buffed my lower right neck ending in an epic shave. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
Not today. We are heading over to some friends this afternoon. Tomorrow, though, I will likely grill up some hamburgers and chicken breast. Maybe a little deer sausage to go with it.
May 27 SOTD: Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley Blade: Gillette Platinum Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket Lather: Stirling Electric Sheep Aftershave: Two Girls Florida Water Additional Care: Osage Rub Stirling Unscented PSB Terrific shave this morning. The Electric Sheep is an excellent soap and so slick. This razor is one of my favorites as it has the perfect mix of aggressiveness and efficiency for me. Two passes and near BBS. Can't ask for much better than that. I finished off with some Two Girls Florida Water, and we are off to church. I hope everyone has a great day!
Nice photo, Jim! At one point Rod at Stirling didn't offer menthol additions to Pharaoh's Dreamsicle. He got complaints that the menthol changed the scent too much. But perhaps that was all worked out, or obviously was since you've got some with glacial coolness. Terrific! Great photo, Jim!
Thanks, Perry! I don't know how much the added menthol changed the scent as I don't have the non mentholated. Great face freeze though! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Like @clint64 and @Norcalnewb I am egging this weekend Pork Tenderloin with dry rub and some boar sausage that the media would say I “assaulted” based on the choice of rifle I used to hunt it. Also have a Karve with C and D plates on the way, so apparently we live in parallel universes. I am, however, blaming the Karve purchase on @Linuxguile since he tried the mercilessly enable me to buy a shiny new Rex Ambassador, and I wisely and frugally went looking for a less expensive alternative to buy instead. Apparently it’s not less expensive when you buy them both.
Too Funny. I regret of buying only the D plate I should have went with the D, E &F. I managed to avoid the Rex but I am not so sure I will avoid the Blackland Dart later in June. On the egg front, I have three racks of ribs dry rubbed and ready to go for tomorrow.
Ribs and pork belly on the smoker as we speak. In February the plan was to get myself a new razor for my birthday in March. I knew I wanted American made stainless steel. I quickly narrowed down to three choices. ATT S1, I didn't have a slant and wanted to try one. Timeless, could not find a bad review, and the Rex Ambassador so I could have an adjustable in the rotation. The Timeless had too many choices and couldn't decide. The Rex had some QC issues. I bought the ATT. Then I bought the Timeless. And the Ambassador is paid for and should be in the den soon. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
