Hey Jim, does this razor win for the most writing that can fit on the tang???? And some on the spine... and a little on the tail. Love it! Tom.
Saturday Straights' Shave Proraso Pre Shave Proraso Sandalwood Jayaruh #289 Wade & Butcher 5/8 CWS Thayer's Peach WH Barbasol AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #289 brush. I did two passes with the Wade & Butcher 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I finally got around to touching up my Genco Vanadium last night and used it this morning for the first time in a couple of months. It was a superb shave!

Tonight's shave was with a fine Japanese Razor. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues. Razor- Japanese "Coral". For Professional Barbers Use. Brush- RazoRock 400. WD HMB Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Aftershave- Avon Spicy. Just for Kicks Decanter.
7/8 Wacker Savon des Volcans homemade boar, Omega 49 knot Good shave this morning equipment wise but this equipment was wielded by fairly incompetent shaver. For some reason I've been all thumbs this week, shaving or in the shop, a walking accident waiting to happen, lol. Just have to roll with it. Have a good one. Notice the hair splitting this brush, it's new and has been soaking for 2 days and has 4 lathers on it. One thing I've noticed is that it usually takes 3 days for poking type of bristle to go away. A few may show up again after drying the brush good but a soak before using in hot tap water until they soften and they'll come around quickly.
First time with the Friodur 72 this morning. Very close shave, still working on my form so I'm not doing her justice...pink foam and all still the closest I've come to BBS. Stirling brush and soaps...I need to get some more gear! Best! John

Razor- J.A.Henckels 70 1/2. Zwillingswerks. Solingen. Brush- RazoRock 400. Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger. Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented Aftershave- Family Dollar "Spice".

Puma 222 6/8th Olde Doc Pre Shave Pinald Clubman Aftershave Generic Boar Brush Poraso Azur Lime Creme Great shave from a recently honed Puma 222. A two pass smooth shave after 3 days growth from being up in the mountains. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
It should have John! First time I used it I struggled with the balance, but after a few uses it behaves so nice on the strop and during the shave. But it is a thick, long and heavy tang/handle. Tom
