PAA Organism 46B soap, Honey Farm Maple burl and resin two band badger brush, Edvin Neiström straight razor, Local Gent California Barber aftershave.

Starting to get into this weird Organism 46b soap. It lathers very well, and the family says it smells like chocolate. Now that they're saying that I'm smelling it too.

    YESTERDAY'S SHAVE
    20180527_092307.jpg

Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap, pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Future Clone (4)
    Blade: Gillette Black
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Siliski Soaps- Santa's Pipe
    Post: PAA Cold Spices A/S

Excellent shave yesterday morning. The soap is actually Santa's Pipe, and just used this one to show the label. Scent of Santa's Pipe is a spicy tobacco, smells a bit like gingerbread and is a beautiful scent. No burning effect at all which is good since these kind of scents sometimes cause issues with my skin. The lather of Siliski Soaps is top notch and have been quite impressed with this artisan. holds plenty of water, has that shiny quailty, and is super slick. Lather washes away easily and doesn't leave a heavy post shave feel like some other soaps, although skin feels moisturized and well nourished. Managed a BBS with no irriration and finished off with PAA Cold Spices.

    MEMORIAL DAY SHAVE
    20180528_125722.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss
Razor: Ming- Shi Future Clone (4.5)
    Blade: Gillette Black
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Wild West Pony Express
Post: English Leather A/S & Cologne

The British are coming, the British are coming! I wonder if Paul Revere knew they were coming because he could smell the English Leather lol, I'm joking of course, but EL is one strong scent. Pony Express is a EL clone although i don't detect that sharp note, it is a good compliment to English Leather. Whipped up a thick lather in the copper bowl. Have found Wild West soaps to keep getting better each time I use them, scents are pretty unique and there is something for everyone. So far I think my favorite is Rose Dunn, used it the other day and the scent is amazing. Managed to get a close shave and surprisingly little burn from the aftershave and cologne. Hope everyone has a peaceful shave and a safe Memorial Day!

Nice Western choices :), and thanks for the commentary on Wild West Soaps(again, I'd like to see that company increase the soap size to 4, but....doesn't mean I'm not glad to see such a brand out there).

Superb 3 pass shave with my Friedrich Herder 77. It has a beautiful edge from @Billyfergie and has left me truly BBS tonight. Maybe its because I usually use my DE's when I'm in a rush, but i always admire the complete lack of irritation from a good straight shave. Havent had that many recently and tonight really reminded me of how enjoyable and relaxing it can be. Mentally de-cluttering maybe - its all i think about for the duration of my shave.

Thanks Paul! Don't let the 2oz size fool ya, these are great soaps and it allows for a bit more variety.

OK thanks...as it is, I'm down to probably less than that now with my Local Gent...it all surrounds the perimeter. I'll give that one or two more tries.
