One characteristic to synthetics I seldom (actually never so far) see discussed is that as a totally manufactured product it is not just possible but almost inevitable that there will be consistency sample to sample as long as the material and process remain the same. That's simply not possible with natural bristle shaving brushes. The companies can try to maintain some general level of performance brush to brush and year to year (Kent brushes feel like Kents, Simpson like Simpson, Vulfix like Vulfix) but as with all natural products consistency jess ain't gonna happen.

I primarily use three:
1) Davy Jones Hardright (Sun Rise synthetic)
2) Omega 40033 (boar)
3) "The Illuminator" (black badger)

The remaining 30 to 40 are in varying degrees of completeness. From "Oh my, where's the garbage bin" to "Stellar perfect".

Almost there. I own 2, but have only use my really cheap boar for the last few months.

The reoccurring aluminum Rubberset 400 type has three ferrules that "hot swap". The three wood tone handles are all from a piece of Cypress culled in my fathers citrus orchard. All the way to the far right - an Opal in very early synthetic fishing line type fibers. It's not pretty enough to get a new knot, not functional as the other synths.

I'm happy with all 4....hard to pick a favorite

Stirling 24mm fan-knot badger,
Stirling 24mm boar,
Maggards 24mm synthetic.

Lately, my morning "brush grab" has defaulted to the Stirling badger. I am well pleased with that brush.

The Stirling badger knots are really, good brushes. I love mine.

Clearly you're doing better with you 24 Badgers than I did with my 1(The WSP I quit on). I just never got settled in with that brush.
