  1. It has the ‘aquatic’ DNA of Creed, not sweet like Aventus and not as powerful as Green Irish Tweed. The ambergris give it some lightness and it’s a great tobacco- leather scent for hot weather.

I have a very busy day ahead so it was nice to start off with a great relaxing shave. Two passes with touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

  4. I’m already falling behind in keeping up with the thread. Lots of incredible photos and reports. I always enjoy seeing and reading through, even if I’m sitting on the sidelines , which is most of the time.

Today’s shave was brought to me by the colors blue and butterscotch. And the number Eleven.

    Razor: Gillette 195 (Fatboy)
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Stirling Best Badger, fan knot
    Soap: Eleven Shaving Blue Spruce
    Aftershave: Eleven Shaving Blue Spruce
Post Balm: Eleven Shaving Blue Spruce

    Thank you Clint!
Will do (hopefully I can remember). Only two lathers with the Eleven thus far, and the second one with a new brush. So far, I'm quite pleased with the soap.

  5. That's an awesome looking setup, Keith! I don't know much about straights, but I know that one looks cool!

  6. Thank you, Jason! So far, I really like it. It'll take a few more lathers to get it dialed in. Like many other artisan soaps, it seems to be able to take a hefty amount of water. You may already know this - Eleven Shaving is the progression/rebranding of Sapone Di Paolo. The soaps are now tallow-based. I don't know if the scents have varied at all from their predecessors , but I believe he kept them the same.

  10. Chris, do you have a minuscule percentage of troll DNA? ;) I mean nothing that would effect your day-to-day existence, just a "touch"?
  11. Thank you Patrick.

  15. Another great setup, write-up, and photo, Neal! I think it's the Luxury VDH soap that I have (orange box kit). VDH soaps perform well above their price point. Best soap ever? No. Of course not. But, it's still a good performer, it's cheap - a solid choice for anyone's den.

Good luck with the new diet and meds!

  20. What about all the awful ski resorts? I mean, really.....who would ever want to suffer through a few days at Breckenridge, and their short, icy runs? :D
