The 1958 and 1959 are my favorite years for Fat Boys. You have a fourth quarter 1959; meaning it was made in the months of October, November and December of 1959.
In October 1959, it would have been exactly 27 years until I was born My dad was 5. I love how this stuff is not only still usable, but could continue being so for many more years. What can you find these days that lasts anywhere near as long?
Recieved my prize from the Spring Raffle today. Thank you once again @Queen of Blades! I had never tried the Tribute scent from Avon before but as my ticket was drawn on Memorial Day I thought it was fitting. Plus I've enjoyed the couple of other vintage Avon AS I've tried. As I had already shaved today I tried out the scent on my wrist. Opens with light lavender, then citrus and civet, dries down to a cologne citrus with a slight hint of patchouli (maybe?). I think I'll like it but tomorrow's shave will be the true test.
Over the last year I sold three 3-band brushes leaving only one, a nice Shavemac D01 silvertip in a Vlad Ferdman handle. I sold a few 2-band brushes, too, but have kept acquiring those. I decided to add a couple of 3-bands and this is the first. It is my first Chubby 1 (I've had a couple of CH2's) and my first Simpson's Super. I know there has been some debate on this but none of my Best grade brushes could compare to this hair. I must say I love this little brush.
Mailman brought two new toys yesterday. A nos travel tech from the raffle, courtesy of @Linuxguile. Thank you! And an Alumagoose courtesy of Maggard Razors.
Another three band arrived today. I now have three to go with my nine 2-bands and one boar: the Simpson Ch1 Super that arrived earlier this week, a really sweet Shavemac D01 Silvertip knot set in a LoveYourShave handle, and now this Wolf Whiskers with a TGN High Mountain White. I wanted to send Peter a D01 Silvertip for a brush, but with my luck I may have never gotten on his waitlist, so when he offered this one on the WW facebook page I couldn't resist.

I've enjoyed watching your cap/base/handle swapping. Is this the oldest razor head + newest handle combo you've tried?
Ha, interesting question. Shovelhead/Karve would be comparable or older. Hard to pin down the date of the 1912.
