1/2 Tabac Tuesday Razor: Igor Blade: Gem CS Brush: @GarnerPW Soap: Haslinger Rasierseife AS: Tabac It has been a long 8 months since Igor has been home. I had to get reacquainted with him. He is just as I remembered. Smooth and efficient. I did however forget about the wonderful music he plays while slicing through the whiskers. A nice sound for sure. Or....... Would a "real razor" be a device from which, the blade can be removed? And everything else is a cart? Hmmmmmmmm.
Or........ A cartridge is something from which, the blade cannot be removed. My brain hurts. I think I strained my cortex.
The blade is mounted in a cartridge.... Not removeable or not it is not a traditional single edge razor.
I'm afraid in this case, the whole razor is a cart....the blade angle is sealed in plastic making it a cartridge.... But if we place semantics aside....if Fuzzy doesn't dig it....well.....wait a minute.....is that a flying brick I hear?
Wed. 6/13/18 Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the Schick N1. Marvelous lather from the Speick shave cream. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️
Williams Wednesday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Williams Mug Jayaruh #291 Gem Featherweight CVS Carbon Steel SE CWR Thayer's Peach WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #291 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Featherweight Razor with a CVS Carbon Steel SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Straight users could use the exact opposite argument re. shavettes. I would class it as a disposable SE. Collins definition of cartridge: "A cartridge is part of a machine or device that can be easily removed and replaced when it is worn out or empty."
Therefore, if it will be found smashed under a fuzzy brick, it must be a cartridge. ... Yes, Regis, that's my final answer.
Wed 13th June RazoRock Plissoft 24mm Cyril Salter Solid Soap ER !924 Gem S/S [ 3 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion Following a superb Shave with a Streamline, moved on to the 1924 which many find mellower than the Streamline. I now use it with a longer handle and have stopped shimming the blade. Todays Shave was so smooth and easy, and without any problems I attained a great close all round finish.
I am all bandaged up from the FLYING BRICK thanks @wchnu --used the PERSONNA FLOATING HEAD with a FRESH JAPAN modern SCHICK TWIN BLADE -- this is how the shave went -- Stirling GIN and TONIC on the rocks was as cold as a witches T*t Peace! Jamie
Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: EJ Medium BB Soap: CRSW Bergamot & Bay Razor: ER Streamline/Jewel Blade: Gem SS Post: Cold water rinse, BartBs Balm Bergamot & Vanilla ASB What a cracking shave that was. The Streamline requires a bit more concentration than the Cobra but isn't far behind it in the efficiency stakes. Finished off beautifully by the wonderful Bart's Balm. Happy Shaving one and all.
The head is still of the same type you know. Disposable cart type head... Still garbage...and a cart.
It's a fixed blade disposable SE (my middle name is pedantic ) I haven't tried one but the Bic metal has a few fans in the UK.
