I believe the pivoting mechanism is designed wrong. This morning , I got all lathered up and the very first Stroke on a flat cheek cut a long streak about 1/2 way down. I put it down and finished up with my Gillette Guard. Totally free from any anomalies. The Focus Dynamic will be on the chopping block very soon. I`ve been wet shaving for over 60 years. Never met anything like this. Been trying for months to use it, but to no avail. Thank you for your concern, Bill

    Razor: Gillette Guard
    Blade: Gillette SE Guard (2)
    Pre shave: DIY
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Red
    AS: Mennen afta

One stroke with my Focus and a long Slash 1/2 way down my cheek, styptic pencil, relathered, got my SE Guard and finished up with 2 passes, WTG/ATG a little clean up and Voila! A near BBS. Finished with a cold water rinse and some afta. Happy Camper, God Bless.

Wise words on many levels, as for shaving, I've wasted a few blades whilst modifying one for the Gibbs but as you say it's worth the reward.

    Saturday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Barbaros TR-1
    Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra
Brush: 'Papa Chub' (Chubby 3 Manchurian) given the 'Brush Rejuvenator' treatment before use..
Soap: Sir Hare - Drunken Sailor
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve
    Fragrance: PG02 Cozé

firstly, 'Papa Chub' behaved like new after a quick shampoo, bringing the Drunken Sailor to life with ease.. Sir Hare is an extremely underrated soap, that really does deserve a wider audience... having fallen for the GBE, I decided to throw it in the TR-1, and was rewarded with a super smooth shave..... post shave, Santal Auster, and Cozé provided the icing on the cake.. Yeah, CLASSY!!

Thanks Doug. I purchased it through fragrancenet. Really fresh and citrus with a light incense carryover. Just really good for the warm weather. Not very long lasting but an awesome first 90 minutes.....

Kept the beard, cleaned up the neck. Razor had a slight alignment issue on one side but nothing major and can probably be torqued correct. Corked the blade but even so it was not as smooth as the no-name blades that came with the Big Lots version of this razor. With different blades this should be a fine little shaver.
