You were the one that pushed me over the edge to get the AS after one of your shave of the day pics. I'm with you, I really like the scent. Maybe Doug will bring it back after some time. My daughter is back from college and she we looking for a quick touch up on her straight. Always a pleasure to have her in the house, and it makes for a great Father’s Day weekend.
She has some fun options - this straight, a ‘66 Gillette Slim, or a RR Mamba. Fun times .

Tonight's shave was with a Shiny Sheffield. I also used some vintage Avon Spicy Bar Soap. I had a nice shower with the soap. It has the scent of the Aftershave, just not as strong. It cleans well, it just does not have the moisturizing ability of the Yardley Bar Soap I use daily. The shave went super smooth, and I was left with BBS results. Excellent razor.

Tim You are so correct Have u tried PAA OUD spice? Unfortunately it is discontinued and Since it was shulton with oud, I had to get it before it was gone. it is really nice.. but cold spices is better, I just love the scent! I have several vintage shulton after shaves, luckily I only got 2 that had that spoiled scent. my best score is shulton burley gift box of burley a.s. and cologne and a burley soap on a rope that was NOS and the eBay seller was from Alaska, my guess is that it was stored in a perfect climate controlled basement and never got to hot... it smells and look' like it was yesterday, even the soap.... burley is a hidden treasure, rumor has it PAA is doing a tribute..I plan on using the soap some day, been using the a.s. and coloogne on occasion

Man sorry to hear this Bill, razors can be a YMMV thing. you never know what works for you till you give it a try, although if a manufacturing or development defect is the problem then I guess it is what it is.
