Hi Clint! Still using those brushes you sent me, in fact that's all I use. Still loving that Badger and when I have to travel I use the synthetic.

Thanks to everyone here for the responses I received yesterday! Today I paid even closer attention to the angle of the Ming Shi and to the way my beard grows and after 3 passes I got a great shave compared to my others - considering I haven't even been wet shaving for a week and a half yet.

I did switch up one "finishing" element in stead of using the Captains Choice"s North After shave I used Stirling's "Stirling for Men" I'm actually glad I made that switch as I like the scent better and the scent, though it is just as subtle as North, lasts longer. Captains Choice's scent though it is a great product dissipates too quickly for my taste.

Greetings and welcome! It's all about you! Your skill and your control over the blade are the two single most important factors in obtaining great results. Thanks for joining in the fun.

Thank you, Andrew! The Variant is a pretty nice razor. Not necessarily one of my favorites, but definitely not a bad razor

Thank you, Clint! It is a bit more relaxed at the moment, so that is nice. We have been hit with a big dump of rain the past couple of days with some minor flooding going on. I can tell people are still a little on edge after Harvey.

    June Drugstore / Injector Focus

    Palmolive Shave Stick
    Omega 98 boar brush
    Suribachi & cool water
    Schick Stick type J-2
    Personna Injector II blade
    Osage Rub, Blue AS

It's a stick soap, but mushed into a tub, loaded, and bowl lathered. Light scent balanced by great performance - good cheap soap. The brush much the same. Inexpensive yet works well. Vintage twin blades in the injector showing their age with a little tugging. Still did most of the duty and finished with the type G since it gives closer cleanups. A splash of the Rub, and plenty of Blue Generic AS. Getting out in the tropical storm weather to go pick cucumbers and tomatoes next. Hot wet fun in the summer time.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Another stunner, Clint. The Italian Citrus seems to be hit and miss with some folks. Is it a winner for you?
Glad to hear you are well on your way to recovery, John. Walking and driving will make a world of difference, I suspect.
These Cypress handles have developed a nice patina and have aged very well, imho.
Awesome leathers and colours in the photo, Brian.
NW Montana? You're getting closer to us, I get to Kalispell in about an hour and a half.
    Safe travels.
Very nice combo! We have a number of the same razors, Joseph, but yours are all in fantastic shape. That Milord looks brand new- if you didn't know the year, I would have guessed it was a gold replated SS.
Don't think you missed anything on the bottom dial...last I saw the bidding was over $2250...
Another great set up and pic effect, Jim! You are the master of cool effects.
Sounds like the Rex is a definite winner for you, Andrew. Congrats! The resin in that handle is pretty cool as well.
Good luck on the sale, Perry! Getting out of town and letting what will be, will be is probably very wise. Hopefully you'll get some good offers out of this.
Seriously, in terms of bang for buck, I really do not think you can do any better that Palmolive and a big Omega boar.
    Great photo as well, Rick.

24k revamp by Razor Emporium. It is a Milord Tech, however.
